Hooters is just a grill and bar, like Applebees or Chevey's. The waitresses where stockings and short shorts and tank tops. There is nothing obscure or sexual about the place. It just gets a lot of slack because back in the day when it came out, watresses didn't wear stuff like that at resturaunts. But this is 2006, if you watch MTV of even walk down the street you'll see worse then their little cute outfits. Seriously, it's not a big deal. LOL..

Hooters is a rip off. The girls are wearing way too much. If I want some chicken wings to go along with some hot looking women, I will go to Mikey D's pick up some chicken fingers and eat them at the beach. Hooters sucks either be a strip club or be a restaurant don't try to do both.

Well, let the girls on the streets wear less, then!
If I'm going to pay someone to serve me (food, that is!!) I expect the service and food to be professional, but not in the sense of 'the oldest profession!'
Their food is WAAY overrated, too. I've gone there a couple times with others who wished to, but I've never been impressed. I felt as if I was paying extra for a 'peep show' that, as you say, didn't show anything, anyway.
If I really wanted to pay to see women being exploited, I'd go somewhere that made it worth the trip. No, I'd go to some meat market bar, where I could at least share a dance & maybe a laugh or some conversation with the objectified women.

I'm younger than you and I go there with my family. The food can be really greasy but it's fine, I guess. Another one of the downers is that the waitresses show a lot skin (that's why some women get offended and don't like Hooters that much)

Just because girls on the street may wear less doesn't make it right. Exploitation is exploitation, whether someone is doing it to you or you are doing it to yourself. The question is, are you going to buy into an idea just because a portion of society is saying it is okay? Hooter's portrays itself in the manner it does because they have bought into, and want you to buy into the idea that sex sells- (we have scantily clad girls- hence, the name "Hooters," and we want to sell more chicken wings). Yet, they want you to bring your kids so they can eat free- it's a mixed message. I don't go there or take my children there, because, to me it sends a message they will get too soon. I agree with the person who says- is it a family restaurant, is it a bar, what is it...? It's like a kids introduction to the world of more adult sexual places- like Titty Bar 101.

Hooters has delicious food! The Hooter girls are very professional waitresses. Peoria IL had a lot of controversy on getting Hooters in Peoria but they have survived on the riverfront when other restaurants in that area have closed. Good Food!

It's not a "bad" restaurant, I don't know why anyone would say that. You are right, you can walk down the street, and see more skin, than you can at hooters. There food is a little more pricey, but it tastes pretty good..

I don't know why it's called Hooters. Most of the girls there don't have big boobs! They just wear those ugly orange hot pants.

Love Hooters!! Loovvee the food and love the girls. Service is great there except when you get a rude waitress once in awhile, but they don't last long.
