Yes they do indeed. More so in the middle schools and high schools, not so much the grade schools. I do not think we get enough information on what other countries have been through. We mostly study Egypt, Japan, The ocean trading countries and Africa. That is about all of the countries I can remember. Colleges are more specialized in the ability to lecture in world religions, and cultural information. Thanks for asking. Nana

They sure do. They start at around 3rd grade by having the kids read the newspaper and do a report on the article they read. They teach them about local, state, national and world current events. In high school they have American history and world history classes.
I should add that my kids go to a charter school here in Arizona and we are very pleased with it.

Typically grade schools do not offer world history and world events to the same degree as what would be offered in high school.

1 year of World History seems to be standard.
Current events in many cases is an elective.

Yea we learn US history in middle school, and world civilization in 9th grade. As for current events, I guess they were part of our middle school social studies curriculum.

They "teach" both. However, a lot of american teachers are basically the students who didn't know what to do with their degree.
Students are very unmotivated. Public school systems are failures in the US.
This is why America is going to fall apart.
Very sad.

"You not in any respect understand with the united states even as it is composed of religion?!??" perhaps they favor to tutor a lot less international faith in Canada and concentration extra on international politics. certain, such instructions are taught.
