I don't think we can. We are already too late. Over 60% of Americans (U.S.) are overweight, 30% are obese. People are dying right and left of cancer, most likely caused by food/pesticides/chemicals and stress. We can only try to educate, but as most people believe, "Ignorance is bliss." So they will keep stuffing their faces with McDonald's. Oh they might order a diet coke, but then supersize their order and add extra mayo. Disgusting!

People like convenience. I had a friend who was a severe diabetic. His wife and he ate a tremendous quantity of canned and prepared foods. I tried showing them how much salt was in their canned soup, but they either didn't understand or didn't care.
It's very disappointing really.
On the other hand, I had another coworker who ate the most awful garbage for snacks and lunch. However, when he had a heart attack, he became Mr. Organic. The only downside was that it was like being around a reformed smoker; there was no way anyone would ever enjoy even a potato chip in his presence.
Speaking of smoking, how dumb do you have to be to think that growing a plant, drying it, rolling it up, setting it on fire and breathing the smoke is going to be good for you?

I've been eating all this stuff (save for the aspartame) since I was a toddler. It's been 29+ years now, and I'm not dead yet. As a matter of fact, I just had my yearly physical, and I'm healthy as a horse...unless it's a pus/blood/antibiotics filled horse. In that case, I'm just plain healthy.

Yes all our food nowadays is pure crap. But as long as people are lazy and/or workaholics they will eat at these garbage store like McD, BK, JBox. And as long as the food producers want to make every penney they can get, so hey why not inject crazy chemicals into the cows making them grow two hundred pounds in two days. Have you ever seen the chicken they raise for KFC. They don't have heads, food is shoved down the neck...look it up

1. One person at a time. The only way change is ever really made.
2. Most people's eyes are NAILED SHUT and they like it that way.
3. Animals taste good. As much as I hate it and feel bad, it's true.
4. vegetarian food (all that I've tried anyway) SUCKS! We have to find a meat substitute that actually tastes good. Then find a "real man" to sell it.

Have you seen how big america is getting? People don't care anymore and if they get too fat eating the things you just mentioned, they sue McDonalds for allowing them to eat there...or they take some magic pill which is just as bad to try and do the work for them. When in realitly all they have to do is eat more fruit, vegetables, less fried foods or just plain healthier and do a few jumping jacks for pete's sack!!

You forget Trans Fat...that is plastic. It's melted down and put in food to help it hold it's shape and add flavor but it is one of the hardest fats to get out of your system simply because (again) it's plastic!

I'd be willing to bet that something along the lines of 'Supersize Me' would work. I stopped going to fast food restaurants after seeing that. it would probably work for this as well.

And aspartame REALLY needs to stop being put into drinks. Seriously...aside from my being DEATHLY allergic to it, it turns just as poisonous as cyanide after being left in the sun for a certain amount of time. WHY are we drinking this stuff again?

They can't open their eyes because they went blind from poison that is being marketed as food today. Besides, they don't give a crap. just look at all the giant belly's and fat asses walking around. How would you like to jump in bed with a big butt woman that smells like blue cheese?

And then about fast food chains themselves...like mc donalds, books like fast food nation tells the true story about it, but people still choose to consume them.

That is why poor people get stuck in ruts and become obese because good food is expensive, the poor eat for $1.00 burgers and for ...............................50 cents more get it supersized.

It is a cycle...that will never end until there is cosmic justice.
