By federal statute, every prisoner has the right to see a member of the clergy of their (the prisoner's) choice. The administrator of the prison has final authority in allowing/denying the clergy access to the prison, based upon the security and safety of both the prison, and the clergy. In theory, the beliefs of the religion advocated by the clergy are not taken into account, when allowing/denying access. In practice they are. (If the prisoner is there becuse of illegal drug use, and your religion advoctes the use of illegal drugs, you are more likely to be denied access to the prison, than if your religion decried the use of drugs, regardless of their legality.)
The Nation of Islam has spent decades working with Black males in jail, building good bridges with numerous prison administrations. so they have access to more prisons, and prisoners, than other religious groups have. Thus, they have more prison converts than other religions have. [Most muslims in US gaols, are members of The Nation of Islam.]
The Salvation Army is one Christian denomination that has an extensive inmate ministry program, that wins converts to Christianity. [These converts typically switch to another denomination, once they are out of jail, and on their feet. (This is something that the Salvation Army expects. Few people are willing to make the commitment that the Salvation Army demands of its lay-members.)]

no. Actually no religion is offered in jail. But there are other inmates who are of different faiths that convince other people to join in.
