The only free criminal check sites are the ones that comply with Megan's Law (sex offender databases). The paid ones are as low as $9.95 which isn't bad.

If the person commited a felony, most states have an online site where you can look up known felons (up to a certain year - some states are more thorough than others.

If you know where the person lived, all criminal charges are public knowledge, and you can go to the local court house and look it up.

Other than that, I have no idea where to start for free stuff anyways.

First Jesus is the Son of God. God the daddy, God the Son and God the Holy spirit are one. the bible isn't contradictory. So i'm going to venture you. All are made, (begotten) of God. in case you cant see that there is a much better power, then i think sorry for you. because of the fact sometime you would be in hell. study the bible, from front to back. cover to conceal. In that element, you will discover that it is not contradictory, yet which you're being misled by ability of people who say that's. while God says, I even have begotten you, that's a assertion that asserts He has begotten genuinely genuinely everyone,

Tell your friend to buck up. If it's that important, "your friend" should be willing to pay to get some clean and accurate information.
