What do people think when the President isn't planning a making any illegals leave?

They may have to pay a fine or do some community service for breaking the law, How do cons feel about a Pres who supports that instead of jail or deportation?

I think he is both trying to appeal to the minority vote as well as seeing the bottom line (i.e. $$$$$$$) that would be lost if we deported them all at once (there was a big article today on CCN about the monetary pitfalls of mass deportation) - I'm also not conservative so I may have a different viewpoint but in this case it looks like a duck and ducks like a duck but it most certainly is not a liberal move.

This is the first time in my 48 years of voting that the president I voted for has completely lost it. You are damn right it is liberal, but it goes beyond liberal, it is a breach of his sworn oath to uphold the laws of this nation. ILLEGAL MEANS ILLEGAL!!!! If I were to violate a federal law so blatantly, I would go to prison, not be rewarded with free citizenship, health-care, education and who knows what else they will receive. I am, for the very first time in my life, trying to find every single opportunity to save on my tax bills, in order to minimize the amount of my legally hard earned money gets sent to the loony tunes (politicians) in Washington, D.C.

Well, I think that votes speak louder than words and I think the citizens of the USA will have an opportunity very soon to decide what's going to happen with the illegal immigration problem in their country.

Neither Bush in the US nor Blair in UK really want to stop immigration. They only pretend to in order to pacify the voters.

They want immigration in order to ensure plentiful supply of cheap labor for business, keep wages down and to keep the economy expanding. The unpleasant consequences of over population, social disharmony etc will ony become serious long after they are gone and no one will blame them.

I have to admit, though I do like the man, he has dropped the ball in a few instances, most startling for me was his consideration of having Dujail run our ports. What the hell was that?

Am I the only one who remembers that Reagan gave amnesty in the 80's? Hell, I was 4 years old.
