I will be visiting Paris with three friends (all women) March 9-18, 2007 and staying at the Hotel Agora St. Germain. Two of us have visited this beautiful city on previous trips; two are newbies. I have been fortunate enough to enjoy Paris on several occasions, but always in late spring or summer. Could someone please inform me about the weather, activities, events, etc. during that time of the year? Thank you.

Hi, I used to live in Paris for 8 years. I can tell you that March is going to be cold, and hopefully not to rainy. It also depends where you leave right now. I'm in LA and would feel the differene :-) As far as acitivities, there is always a lot to do. I think you could spend a year and still have a lot to discover. The museums are of course to see, but in March you will still be able to enjoy activitivies outdoors, like the parks: Tuileries, Chateau de Versailles. Also the Eiffel Tower, walking in Saint Germain/Saint Michel, the 2 islands in the center of the City. There are not many events in March (If it's Saint Patrick's day it's a lot of fun in the Saint Sulpice area). Hope this helps.

Hey...I'll be in Paris the same time!

The weather can vary...each year we've traveled to Paris, we've had different weather. It's never snowed while we were there though. We've had beautiful spring weather, we've had it rain the entire time, we've had it so cold you couldn't feel your extremities, and everything in between.

You can pretty much do whatever you want. If it gets too cold, just pop into a charming cafe for a hot tea or hot chocolate (it's so good in Paris!). Bring an umbrella, bring some gloves. You can always buy a snazzy scarf once you get to Paris. Which is half the fun.

Keep an eye on the weather...check out the 10-day forecast and such and you can pack accordingly.

If it's nasty outside, just pop into a museum. You can go on a boat ride along the Seine...some of the boats are glass-enclosed with heaters so you don't freeze.

The weather in Paris just varies...hopefully it will be decent when you go and you won't have to worry about frostbite as you stand in line at Musee d'Orsay. Happy travels!

hi, i have been residing right here very last 2 years and each and every iciness replaced into very diverse. The coldest time of year is mostly after New Years yet not continually. It replaced into horribly chilly (soaring round freezing for some days in mid-January 2 years in the past. yet, very last iciness replaced into truly gentle! It replaced into chilly yet not too extraordinarily (perhaps round 40 5 F on the bottom). it may get very windy right here in iciness also. My thoughts: solid lengthy wool scarve, solid gloves, thicker pants or delicate wool slacks (not jeans), and a hat of a few form (a pullover hat perhaps), and a superb wool lengthy coat. human beings often do not placed on hats right here yet I do at the same time as its chilly like that. Layers are significant because the temp can selection plenty in the course of the day (really if there is sunshine - it really is mostly substantial on the intense-pressue very chilly days). also, layers are significant to manage the metro. contained in the iciness, the metro (counting on the line) can get actual fairly warmth (if not warm) in the course of the iciness, so solid to be able to eliminate a layer or 2 at the same time as contained in the metro! Be prepared for rain as well. although rain is extra straightforward contained in the spring and fall it really is achieveable to have some rain contained in the iciness. So, an umbrella, probably a smooth rain jacket? merely attempting to conceal each and every of the bases right here... nicely, besides, have a great holiday! enable me understand in case you pick different records...
