Genesis covers many generations. Adam and Eve were already out of the garden for some time before Cane went up alongside Abel's head.

This is one of the questions that dates back to the stupid Scopes Monkey Trial. The people of Nod were simply the descendants of the the children of Adam and Eve. They had a lot of kids, not just Cain and Abel. Also, even scientists have stated that all people have a genetic mother, whom they have dubbed Eve. As progressive generation were born, the DNA became more mutated, but the original DNA strand was pure, so brothers and sisters and first cousins could have children with no fear of birth defects.

This is a FANTASTIC question! Yes, he created them, because in the beginning there was only void. If we assume )' that no other entity was involved in the 'creation' story then we can use deductive logic to come to a conclusion. But, "why weren't they in Eden" is so good! I will ask my local faith peddler, because now I'm really curious!

Yes he did, he created everything, what you may have a hard time understanding is that time is only a measure man has created, and a faulty one at that. Just be glad you weren't born on a leap year...you could only celebrate your birthday every four years. haha Eden had four occupants and that was one two many.

No, people in Nod were also children of Adam and Eve, Cain, Able and Seth were the only ones named, but not the only ones.

and who were the nephilim? and what happened to them? whom did cain & seth marry?

i believe the answers are obscured in the THREE (not just one) stories of creation in the book of Genesis.

if you buy into the creation myth, i'd say God created the people of Nod. Most theologians agree that its all metaphor. Well, MOST.

We don't know when Cain killed Abel, or when he went to Nod.,or if there were people already there. Any answer you get will be speculation. I like that word-I use it a lot.

My guess is this: those people are our predecessors, and they evolved from monkeys like good old science tells us. Then, when Adam and Eve got kicked out of the garden, those people ate them over a roasting fire. Mmm...devine.
