Pope Leo the 7th said "Those with the smallest of minds, are the easiest to fill with faith".
And he was SO very right wasn't he?

Jojo, you are absolutely wrong.
Don't you ever get tired of that?

Bond_blahblah...
Why don't you explain it then? Because you and I know full well what he was talking about.
That's why you couldn't elaborate, because you're wrong but want to make it look like you're more intelligent than you really are. Did'nt work. That quote suits you well...

Yes, that is good. Leo said a few things that would probably shake a lot of people up. Such as, he stated what profit the church has made from the myth.... in reference to Jesus' death on the cross.

And Adolf Hitler said: "My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison. To-day, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this that He had to shed His blood upon the Cross. As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice... And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows. For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people."

First your out of context! Does this fit anyone you may know? In my little group we get on every Christian chat board known, yahoo answers and insult like crazy. Call everyone that does not agree with us 'Idiots" and knuckle draggers. We name-call because we have a deep desire to be accepted and we are deeply insecure with ourselves and fear everything. Our number 1# goal is to try to intimidate through name calling. You may ask if we get together and have clubs etc..the answer is no because we are to busy harassing religious groups...then play pretend that we're the persecuted one's...even borrow as far back to the crusades if we have to..it doesn't matter as long as we can cram down everyone's throats that we are the victims. We have no cause, we have built no hospitals, we've built no burn unit's for children...there's no circus to raise money we have no official nation or country..we just critise everyone that doesn't agree with our little group..the one thing we hide is our relationship with our families..or should I say the lack of..we never want you to see the ugly hatred that rules our lives..the darkness we live. We just insult day and night...in hopes that will numb the pain...but we will never admit it..not you who we hate,hate,hate..you religious idiots

No, a lot of smart people who have researched the bible have found it to be true. The bible can answer scientific questions, historical questions and the followers of God can receive knowledge from Him.The bible says Gods ways are above our ways, so a scientist would look like a preschooler compared to God. Actually that is giving too much credit to the scientist, God is all knowing.

If you take "smallest minds" to mean children, than yes, I would say so. If you are trying to say that those with faith must be small-minded, you couldn't be further from the truth.

LOL. I'm less familiar with the papacy than many current and former catholics; but Leo sounds like one of the smarter guys to hold that job.

No the small minded people are the people who have no faith and believe that there is no God. Also it is refering to people who follow man and say to do this when the Bible tells you not to do that..For an example: in the Bible it says that you shall not confess your sins to no man. only i can forgive your sins. Jesus said not to confess sins to any man and that only he can forgive you for your sins so why is it that the Catholic church confesses there sins to a "Father"...Which brings me to my next point in the Bible it says call no man your father but me for i am the one who has created you. That means call no man father except for you biological father and Christ our Father.

Wow....he seems pretty right. Course..the small minded people wouldn't have the smarts to figure it out, would they? They'd HAVE to rely on faith for everything!

He was exactly right.
Omne ignotum pro magnifico. (everything unknown is magnificent) And to those with such small minds, the world is pure magnificence.
