I love home made horchata. I cant stand the premade type or the powdered kind you fix at home. uggg...To answer the other guys question its rice water. Usually left over water after making rice. strain the rice out..mix with sugar and cinnamon. Mmmmm so good. I have only had it in California but the people who made it were from Mexico.

i LOVE horchata! i've had it in the US and in mexico...i prefer the one in mexico a billion times!!! horchata is the BEST drink ever!!!! i feel like having some right now!

On the Spanish island of Formentera I used to drink HORCHATA DE CHUFA. I loved it-it was milk white and tasted like grapes. No one has ever been able to explian to me what it is..Still curious!!!!!!

I've only had horchata in Mexico, but it was delish. My favorite was in Veracruz Puerto where I had horchata made from coconut.

I've tried good horchata made in an authentic Salvadorean restaurant... its very good but I can only drink one glass b/c it is pretty sweet

I love it! Used to live in Southern California. Good luck finding it in any state but there. I did not know other countries made it besides Mexico. At first I hated, but now I miss it so much!

yes i tried it from El Salvador and is too sweet i don't like it.
