it depends on what country you are from. if you are a U.S. citizen then you do not. if you are not a citizen, however, you may need a passport.

NOT YET, AND FOR THE RECORD YOU'LL NEED A PASSPORT IN THE YEAR 2007 NOT 2008.

I GOT THAT INFORMATION FIRST HAND BY A CUSTOMS AGENT WHILE COMING TO THE USA FROM A CRUISE IN OCT. 2005. MY BOYFRIEND AND I BOTH ASKED THE AGENT ABOUT THE PASSPORT SITUATION.

AGENT STATED THERE WAS SOME FORM OF GLITCH SO THEREFORE THE PASSPORTS WON'T BE NEEDED FOR ALL TRAVELERS UNTIL THE YEAR 2007 REGAURDLESS OF AGE YES, THAT MEANS CHILDREN TOO.

ALSO, IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE YOU'LL NEED YOUR BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND BE SURE IT'S NOT OLD AND FADED. THEY'LL KEEP YOU THERE LONGER FOR I.D.VERIFICATION, BELIEVE ME I WAS ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE THEY KEPT LONGER. DUE TO MY B. C. BEING VERY OLD AND FADED. IT WAS ONLY FADED BY THE YEAR I WAS BORN, THE AGENT COULDN'T MAKE OUT THE LAST DIGIT OF THE YEAR.

HAVE FUN IN CANADA!!!

It depends on your country of origin. Everyone else here is assuming you are American.
If indeed you are an American citizen, then currently you will only need some government photo ID (driver's licence for example), with your birth certificate. This may change in the near future.
If on the otherhand, you are NOT an American citizen then I suggest you visit this site, as it will be able to help you.
