I usually eat healthy, its just that in the past couple days once I start eating I cant seem to stop. Is there anything that I can say or do to either stop this binging or prevent it (eg things i can say to myself, activties). Sometimes in the moment it just seems like i dont care, i need something to make myself care again

When you feel an eating binge coming on, try to get out of the room where the food is and try to get your mind on another thing. Try playing a word or numbers game - like Soduko. [They have tons of free Sudoko games online and they are addictive!]. You could also try watching a movie that you KNOW will keep your mind involved [this can be hard] or calling up a friend and chatting or even going out.
You can also drink a LARGE cup of ice water. This will fill your stomach up and try and help your body remember that it is not hungry.
If you are very, very disciplined, when you feel a binge coming on, try to have just a tiny, tiny bit of whatever it is you really want. For instance, if you want to eat an entire package of Oreos eat JUST ONE. Denying the urges can sometimes make the desire to binge happen more frequently, but it can also be very hard to stop eating once you have started.
Above all else, do NOT get down on yourself when this happens. Making yourself feel depressed or otherwise low can actually make you want to eat more. Remind yourself that you are a very important person and you do not need this food. If you feel like you don't care, remind yourself how special and unique you are. It sounds corny, but it can really help.
I really hope at least some of this helped. Good luck!

i feel you....
get professional help, before it gets too out of control. even the school nurse will be a good start.
have a support team, like friends and family to make sure you don't binge.
but this is an eating disorder, and if you can catch it before too long you may be able to avoid long term health problems.
do above, but here are a couple of tips.
don't eat anything out of the bag/box. put what you think you want on a plate and that way you know before you start how much you're eating. but then you have to care enough not to go back to the bag/box...thats the tough part.
find out why you don't care, the eating is a symptom of a bigger problem...eating is just how its showing itself.
do you have a passion, if you do, try to indulge in that. mine's horseback riding. right now i don't have a horse so if i want to ride i have to spend $20 and go. so when i want to eat out during the week (which is my problem) i'll tell myself that if i don't i'm only a few dollars away from an hour on a horse. then i'll pull that money out of my account (that i would have spent on the restaurant) and put it aside to go riding. do something like this that works for you.
if you're trying to lose weight, maybe put skinny pictures or clothes on the fridge.
you could clean out the kitchen of all junk food. you're probably less likely to binge on carrots than oreos. but then you have to not buy anymore.
when you do buy sweets, buy then in single servings, even if its more expensive.
good luck and get help!! please!

I thought I was the only one with this problem. This past week I just started eating whatever I wanted. It' s like I will eat one bad thing and then mid-day I decide to eat that king size candy bar just because. My eating habits get out of control sometimes and then I end up gaining those few pounds. The only solution I can come up with is to keep exercise a part of my lifestlyle. When I get back in the"grove" of exercising it makes me more motivated to think about my food choices. Well good luck and let me know if you find a better solution.

If this has just started, it may very well have something to do with some sort of change in your life. Think about it. What could that be? Keep yourself occupied...believe me, you don't want this to become a regular pattern in your life.

Think of a little black sexy dress that you have and you know you look good in it!
When you binge eat, think of how fat and gross you look in that dress and that might discourage you from eating too much.
