That made me think of the pisode of HOUSE, where Cameron gor blood squirted into her face by a patient that had HIV. I dont know, I mean they would have to come in regularly to test themselves for HIV/AIDs. Some times it takes a while, even years for the virus to kick in, so they would have to be constantly aware. The virus is still in their body though, even if it is hidden.

yes they can.....first thing they MUST do is flush the area out with water for at least 15 minutes...then go to the ER and there they will draw blood and start counseling and drug therapy.....remember that the HIV virus can only live for a matter of minutes outside the body....

I don't think there's anything you can take, as HIV is still incurable, but a healthcare worker should always use the universal precautions they should have learned in their training when coming in contact with bodily fluids.

In cases where dangerous contamination has occurred, a prophylactic regime of antiviral drugs may be given. I am not sure about the eye. An expert in treating AIDs could better answer Obviously, lavage of eye would be indicated.
