That really is determined by your maturity level. Your parents are the best ones to determine that. When I was 17 I graduated from high school. I worked two jobs. I had my own apartment, own car and own bills. I made all of my decisions. And I did a fine job. But, I've friends that didn't move out of their parents house until they were much older and they had plenty of privileges at home. I didn't and I grew up faster. If you want to live your own life then I think you should do it. Just not under your parents roof please.

They should be allowed privilages according to the responsibility that they show. They should be allowed to deal with money (I was given a big allowence but had to buy my own clothes), they should be allowed to stay out untill 11:00 or 11:30 on weeknights provided they are doing good in school, 12:00 or 1:00 on weekends. They need to be responsible with their chores around the house. If they have a vechicle, they need to pay for their own maintainence, fuel, and taxes (insurance will be on mom and dad). If they use the family vechicle they need to refill it every cuple times they use it. Things like that. It really needs to be per the individual. What do they really deserve. And be fair.

it depends on the mental, emotional and logic fitness of the 17 year old or any person of decision making age to make decisions.
many 17 year olds haven't experienced as much of life to prepare them to be capable of making certain types of decisions. instead of being adamant about having decision making privledges, talk situations out with a responsible adult or parent and weigh the consequences of various outcomes before settling on a course of action.

You should have none until you realize making your own decisions is a responsibility and not a "privilege".

All the priviledges that the head of the household allows. If you want to run your own life, move out and be an adult.

They should have a lot of privileges, but as they're still a minor, they shouldn't have unlimited. That's just my opinion, though.
