You are very intellegent and have seen the truth, but I must explain the good in religion to you. And since you are intellegent I believe you will understand this better then most.

Do not forget the Holy Sabbath (I know it's not word for word, but you know what I am saying)

God did not make this commandment to be a bad thing, but instead as a good thing for us. No, I'm not saying you have to go to church or even have to follow this commandment I am just explaining why he made it.

God knows that man is very forgetfull, without a constant reminder man will forget him.

I am the lord your God, you shall have no false Gods before me.

God actually doesn't care about this law either. This goes hand in hand with the other one. See God does not want people to forget his teachings. If you think God is high and mighty, without forgetting that; you will not forget his teachings.

Some people out there can not do this without Church. They would get tied up in thier individual lives that they would forget him, thus forgetting his teachings. Since you can not have any false Gods before him and you need to remember the Holy Sabath; You can not skip church for any reason. Thus making it impossible to forget his teachings.

Proof of this is easy to see, especially to parents that have Christmas. Kids are generally better behaved around the Christmas time (before, during, after) then any other time of the year.

It can also be proven in church goers. The later in the week it becomes the worse they get; Friday being the worse time of the week. Sundays and even to some people late Saturdays and early Mondays people are on thier best behavior. Where as the more days between the last day they went to church they get worse.

p.s. I would love to add you to my buddy list I too love anime, religion, and politics.

No, I'm not saying Church is for everybody, but it is needed for some.

I am not a " slave " to Jesus in the literal sense.
We are all slaves to something. It is what molds us and makes us who we are. We strive it more than any other.
For some ( like me ) it is Jesus, for others it is drugs, alcohol, sex, their children, their spouses, education, a new home, money etc. Anything that is first and foremost in our minds becomes our master in a sense so we are all slaves to something.

Jesus set me free from sin- not that I don't still sin - but the desire to sin. It hurts me when I do sin and I want to do better. IT makes me a better person- so I am liberated in that sense.

Religion sets you free from the fear of death. Jesus is who taught that lesson. Not a slave, but a free man/woman of choice. Jesus taught, we decide whether or not to listen.

I am free in Jesus. He set me free from sin. I am not a slave to the ways of the world. I am a willing servant of Jesus Christ. Slavehood is unwilling.

I am set free by accepting Christ as my Lord and Savior. I am forgiven of my sins and have a place waiting for me in Heaven. Being freed of the weight of your worldly sins is a freedom you can't fully explain to someone else, but you can experience just by confessing your wrongdoings to God, and accepting Christ.
While here on earth, I am not a "slave to Jesus," I am His servant and joyfully and willingly, so.

Because Jesus is the Husband to the his "bride" the congregation of the Church. He loved each and every one of us so much that he died for us, not just as a whole but individually. WOW. What a wonderful person to follow. Of course I would happily consider myself "bound" to christ just for his sacrifice alone, not just because of his Kindness (which is genuine) or his Love (which is pure) or his Long-suffering (which he has or he would have not have stayed on the cross and suffered while mean spirited people spit and yelled at him. Indeed, if I were to enslave myself to anyone, what a kind and generous master to have. Someone who would die for you and never abuse you. How lucky!

A slave is someone who is forced to serve without any say in it. But someone who serves by choice is not a slave. People who serve Jesus as part of their religion are not slaves but servants by choice. Just as you use your choice to believe as you do. That is freedom.

I suggest you do a bit more research. You stereotype Christianity. I don't have a religon. Jesus is NOT a religon. I haven't heard of one person say they are "slaves" to Christ. Maybe servants. but not slaves. Christ is merciful, and we are willing servants. Its like a bond servant. we chose to follow him, and he rewards us for it. Bond slaves work for seven years and then are mercifully released. In the same way, we are realeased after death, but we still worship him in heaven. The "fear" of Christ is not earthly fear, but merely humility and spiritual poverty towards a supreme being.

Im not expecting you to believe me. Why should you? But I felt I should clear that up. If you want to discuss this further, email me at dani5436@yahoo.com. thanks for your time.

but you are a slave to the life style you worship also. Bob Dylan said it best you gotta serve someone.
But you're gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You're gonna have to serve somebody,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you're gonna have to serve somebody.
