Santa claus is a made up person made to make kids behave better.
Jesus died if thats what you mean. He died as the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of the world.

Actually, Saint Nicholas, the archbishop of Myra, lived to a rather ripe old age. He died on Dec. 6 in approx. 345 A.D, about forty some years after receiving the bishopric of Myra. This was after the edict of Constantine, so one assumes this was quite a peaceful passing.
So it would seem Santa Claus died fairly elderly and naturally. No vicarious atonement to be found here.

No, he died because he couldn't afford the mortage repayments on his new work shop. Because the mortage was secured against his house the bank sent around the boys and in the mix up shots were fired and Santa was shot through the heart with a Candy Cane.
He died in the presence of many reindeer and in the presents that they had left over from last year.

Oh no! I've taken out a long position in coal just to supply Old Nicky, and now he's gone. Okay, don't panic; I've been here before. I've got it! We'll bag it up for Halloween and people can give it away instead of candy, no cavities for the kids and they still get their lump of coal. Died for our debt all right, that Cat owed me large! I wonder what the widow Claus is up to?
