yea. I can prove there is a GOD...

1st take a look around you and behold the beauty and life. The whole concept of planet earth and humans and life is pretty darn strange if you ask me.. Someone has to be responsible for all that, ahh?

Next, don't you think its pretty strange that humans are pretty darn intelligent. I mean we can actually get in a rocket and leave this planet. Dogs and whales and ants can't do that... We are the only ones on this planet that can do that.. pretty strange! Someone has to be responsible for this or maybe we are just a phenomunum

To prove anything at law you need at least two witnesses.
In a matter of spirit you need three witnesses. Let us look at religions in general. The vast majority have a book, have a central leader, and lay claim to an internal witness.

Now all say they are right. Yet they don't agree on hardly anything. But, they almost all put forward a book, a prophet or guru, and claim an internal witness.

I want to agree with the majority, cause even the devil knows what is necessary to test for truth.

You have to have a Book. You have to have a witness in the flesh. You have to have an internal witness. The Book, the Man, the Seal. God has provided three witnesses of Himself.
It is up to you to try the spirits in these matters, if indeed you are called of God.

The Book, the Man and the internal Witness will agree in all things. There may be times when another person, maybe even an enemy or stranger, will give you an additional confirming witness. There may be times when a word is spoken directly to you.

Whatever happens the spirit of the Book, the history of the Man, and the internal Witness must agree.

A true triple witness will take you out of spells, spiritual readings, horoscopes, I Ching, communication with the dead, prayer for the dead, meditation with swallowing of mantras, casting dice, pre-written prayers and incantations, pilgrimages, special marriages, secret rites and rituals, vows of celibacy and poverty, begging with a bowl, special diets, memberships in religious clubs and organizations, special dress codes beyond a chaste appearance and a million other useless rituals.

How do you know? The Book, the Man and the Witness agree.
All three will testify to you of His precious presence and will reveal to you the nature of your own heart. To know that God is real is to find these things in your heart, which were missing before, Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance.

The following things which were there will be gone: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, llasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, etc. - they that do such things have no part in the kingdom of God.

And that's how you know. Can you do it without the Book? Not really. The real purpose of the Book is to introduce you to the author.

i was always agnostic and now am a believer. Yes it was several books I read that helped the process, but really only taking ideas from each book. No I won't start quoting the Bible because only bits and pieces are truth. Ultimately after all the research I did, it is my own common sense that tells me God is real; though it was confirmed when I watched the movie 'What the Bleep do we Know?" which confirms that there is a God on a 'physical' level. The one thing I will say that might get preachy here is that God did NOT create this world. The only reason I am saying this to you is because it is an example of how you don't need faith to believe the truth, common sense will conclude that this must be true. 'Seek and ye shall find'... if you really want to know the truth the answers are out there, it's just a matter if you are humble enough to accept it - remember "truth hurts". Use your common sense to find the truth which is that 'God IS'.

When you lie awake at night looking at the stars, do you feel like you are a part of an enormous amazing thing? When you walk in a crowded street, do you feel the connection with those around you? When it is raining and the sounds of the drops hitting the roof are all you can hear after your electricity goes out. Do you feel at peace? This is my personal view that God is everywhere watching over us and is with us working in his own amazing way. God is real because there are just so many amazing things in this world that cannot be coincidences and there are too many phenomena that reach into my soul. The simplest things are often the most extraordianary. That is God.

Easy. Before I give the answer let's state some scientific facts and/or ideas:

1. Second Law of Thermodynamics state that large systems grow in chaos rather then the other way around.
2. Physics and other "natural laws" exists in this world indicating some form of structure within this universe (i.e. non-chaos).
3. The big bang was chaos at it's beginnings.

Statement 2 is in direct violation of Statement 1 based of Statement 3. However, if the idea that a supreme being (place your choice of entity here) created the universe instead of Statement 3 then Statement 2 does not violate Statement 1 in any sense.

It cannot be proven. Period. Don't bother trying.

Proving things and dealing with observable facts is the realm of science. However, there are really no facts that will hold up to a scientific inquiry that prove or disprove God.

The existence of God, however, is a question for religion or philosophy which don't deal with facts but with other things: feelings, logic, faith. God exists in that realm. And if you believe in God, as I do, then you have to figure God intended not to leave a factual trail for scientists to follow but instead left a different kind of path.

If you don't believe in God because you lack proof, you're missing the point. If you don't believe in God because you do not feel His presence or because you find the philosophical arguments for His existence to be faulty, that's up to you. But I feel sorry for you, truly.

The give me proof arguement is so old.

Anyone with a brain can recognize that concepts of this nature can not be proven or disproven. What matters is not if some sky fairy exists or not but how people believe that being to act.

For example if a man thinks it is acceptable for a God to say do as I say or i'll hurt you then logic dictates that he will behave in a simular manner. Hence the reason we have women being used as punching bags!

The real issue isn't proof since NONE CAN EXIST! What matters is the moral and ethical nature of the being that people believe because they are told to believe in!

One of the amazing things about God is that you have the right to get answers on your own. The Holy Ghost, or Holy Spirit, is there to testify of truth and things leading to knowledge about Jesus Christ as the Son of God. The thing is, you have to be willing to do your part to get ready for answers. Although you don't have to be able to read to get answers about God and Jesus Christ, it does help to study more about them from the scriptures. You have to be willing to open your heart and mind to the possibility that there is more to life than meets the eye. You have to reach a point that your current attitude or take on life is leaving you feeling dissatisfied. Also, if you are involved in at-risk behaviors - namely, drinking, drugs, immorality, loud or violent entertainment, or irreverent entertainment as well, it will be harder to get answers. Not impossible - just harder. It will take more time to prepare to receive answers. Fasting and prayer are the best way to find out of God exists. The answer might not come right away, because God will want to know if you are really sincere and if you want the responsibility that comes with having more knowledge. Feelings from the Holy Ghost will come as peace, knowledge, security, love, charity, and a sense of remembering and seeing more than you thought you could. These are quiet feelings of pure energy, and if you are not prepared, you can miss them entirely. This is a spiritual experiment, and many people are afraid to try it because it means something might change. Most people just want permission to keep doing what they want to do. We all have the gift of free agency, and we all have the right to get our own spiritual proof, if we want it bad enough. It takes spiritual courage, though, and if you're not ready for it then stay on the level you are on and work on being kind to others instead. Have a happy day.

Yes, I can prove it without a book. Argument from Christianity to the rescue!

(1) Doesn't it just make more sense that an all-knowing, all-powerful, all-good deity created the world out of nothingness, from magic, essentially, and then punished us for eating a piece of fruit, and then incarnated himself in human flesh and came down to shed his own blood so he could break his own rules, and then went through hell on a temporary basis and then went back into the sky and promised to come back and take everyone who believed in him to this heaven no one has ever seen?
(2) Well, doesn't it?
(3) Therefore, God exists.
