No hon, masturbation is not a sin. It's not even really mentioned in the Bible.
What IS a sin, is lust. A married man looks at a woman other than his wife and knows in his heart that if the woman were to approach him for sex, he'd do it. That's lust. Just dreaming of your future wife and taking things, well, in hand so to speak lol, that's okay. In fact, it's advisable, because you are saving yourself for her.

Mastrubation is not how God designed the act of sex. He designed it for a man and a woman in a marriage relationship. And so anything outside of that design is imperfect. Is it sin? Depends. If you can do the act without lusting, then no. If you can't, then yes. If, however, someone becomes addicted to it, then yes it is a bad thing. As Paul says, "all things are permissable, but not all things uplifting." But engaging in an activity that may lead you down a road to porn or sex or lust is not the best way to live a Christian life. There is a book I highly recommend called Two Faced, it's written by 3 pastors and it was awesome. And more than anything I recommend prayer, talking to other Christian males (older, more mature males in the faith) and remember no one is perfect, that's why we need grace. And you know what, you will continue to be imperfect, in all areas, until the day Christ comes to redeem you. To have a real relationship with Christ when you're not trying to hide your sins, mistakes and whatever, and be able to stand side by side and look at your sin with honesty is what is having a true relationship with Christ is all about. And pray for a good wife.

Though masturbation isn't mentioned in the bible there are enough other things mentioned that we can reasonably conclude that it is not a good idea. The most obvious point is that lust is very clearly prohibited. Now I don't know about anyone else but I personally can't imagine any way to masturbate without lust being involved.
Secondly, masturbation is, in the end, a purely selfish act. It only serves to provide pleasure to oneself at the expense of reducing the person lusted after to a mere sex object. Furthermore, regular masturbation can have the affect of limiting your sex drive to the point that if and when you do get married it could cause you to not be able to become sexually aroused and possibly even impotent.
I don't know what the answer is to stopping wet dreams but I do know that masturbation is something that would cause much more harm than good.
I hope this helped.

I'm an atheus because is more easy this way (i guess is more honorable to claim yourself a sincere atheus than a fake christian) but i can still pose my oppinion on this.
I think only the fact that you are asking yourself this question is a good start, that proves that you have a inner conscience. IMHO that's the ultimate purpose of each religion helping each individual to become a better person by developing a morality with rules to split the good and evil.
The only way out your situation is to comit one of the two sins and then ask(pray etc) for forgivness. That's how i see it from a moderate "christian" way.
Since God made that part of human nature you are not responsable for the needs of your body, but mentaly/spiritualy you can act one way or another (ignore it and go on OR do something about it) that's where the free will can be used.

I have heard supposedly that weight lifting is supposed to help you release sperm naturally after a heavy work out but I don't know how accurate that is. I am also a single Christian male and I suffer from the same problem. My impression is that those who condemn masturbation are already married and old so they aren't exactly in a position to judge. To be honest I have at times masturbated at night simply because your body gets worked up with sexual yearnings which are perfectly natural. I am not necessarily suggesting this as a solution but I personally would not see anything wrong with occasionally having sex IF it's the same girl each time and you honestly intend to commit to her and you have a possible way of supporting her. Email me if u want more advice although I dont know how helpful I can be.

Do you know if you do not get rid of your sperm it can go back to the body and treated as a poison by your white blood cells and because of it you can be infertile?
Also are you catholic? Because if you are, then I really don't know what to tell you.
To me I believe that religion is good, only that the person who believe in it is good or bad. So, if you want to whack off then whack off what is the sin in there?
I don't want to tell you to do the wrong thing, but surely there is more things in life that is of worst sin than whacking off. I don't know where in the bible tells you that masturbating is a really bad sin or say that masturbation is sin period, then again the bible was written by many people and I chose to believe in God's teaching, not what people have written in years. Think about it, there's the King James Version, The Mormon's bible, The Jehovah's witness has their own etc, etc, etc, so what should you believe?
To me being a christian my self, as long as it does not hurt anyone or it is not hurting me it is not a sin.

Not sure where the origin of the information you got, but as you know, nocturnal emissions or wet dreams, is natures way of releasing the overflow.
Masterbation is not only a hot button topic but many puritans are quick to evilize it.
It's healthy, it's normal and what's more, you can never run out. Now mind you, seven times a day is probably a tad more, but if you're young, got the time, and in an appropriate private place, who cares.
Once a day is typical, even twice... but you have to determine what's right for you. As to the guilt or shame of masterbation... you are not alone feeling those feelings. HOWEVER, they are misplaced. Typical "rules" to control the masses is to place the fear of God in others and moralize things like masterbation.
Truely, if a love God thought masterbation was wrong, why do are nerve endings that offer a pleasurable response feels sooooo freaking good? God isn't about fear, or hate, or lies. God is about love and living... Live YOUR life and be happy, and pray holding your head up, and praise God loudly, quietly or in music or in silence - it's YOUR prayer... Pray fully clothed, pray naked pray in your underwear - Does God care? Of course not. Same is true about masterbation.

Paul said it is better to marry than to burn in hell. Whether masturbation is a sin or not, I couldn't say. I commend you for seeking Christian help, that's what a Christian is supposed to do. I recomend that you pray and ask God to deliver you from the desire for sex. There is a book called "Every Man's Battle With Sexual Temptation" Maybe you shuold purchase it. You can find it at a Christian book store. Whatever you do, keep your integrity and remember who you are and what you stand for. Try not to look at things that would cause you to lust. You'll find that you will have an easier time dealing with this. I'll keep you in my prayers.

I struggled for over 10 years before and after becoming a Christian with this stuff. I had the same problems, dilemmas, temptations and so entertained the same justifications.
I finally settled the issue (even after many years of being happily married to a hot little woman . . . she couldn't meet my need, because it's deeper in your heart than that).
YOU HAVE A NEED/DESIRE which GOD CREATED.
HE PROVIDES THE PERFECT SOLUTION (it's not "sex").
IT'S NOT WHAT/HOW YOU THINK IT SHOULD BE MET.
YOU MUST DECIDE THAT GOD IS ENOUGH.
YOU MUST REALIZE THAT YOU CAN CHOOSE.
YOU MUST ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR FREEDOM.
YOU HAVE THE POWER OF HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS.
ACKNOWLEDGE BEAUTY WHEN YOU SEE IT AND MOVE ON.

First off sperm will not build up and cause you any physical harm. second of all masturbation is not a sin but a form of satisfying your urges while you mature. having fantasies is not a sin. Lusting after a person within your fantasies is a sin. There is nothing wrong in doing this natural act. I would suggest you clean up before and after just for health reasons. God understands you have these urges that is why you are able to perform them naturally. We are not flawed in design naturally. relax and do what you feel you need to do.

Hi,
Oh, all these rules of Christianity. :) By the way, I'm also a Christian and have done a lot of studying on different topics, here's something to think about on the Topic of Masturbation. In the Bible it talks of a story in Genesis Chapter 38 where a woman's husband, named Er, is slain, by God, for being evil. Er's brother, Onan, is then commanded to marry his brother's wife and have more children with her. This was typical Jewish law back in the day that if a woman's husband died the next of kin should take his place.
Anyway Onan marries her but when they go to "consecrate" the marriage he purposely "spills his seed" so has not to have children with her. This angered God as his duty to her was to have children with her. God got angry with Onan for not fulling his role as her husband, not for spilling his seed. A lot of people confuse this as God getting angry for "spilling your seed" or masturbating and therefore condem it.
Personally, as a Christian, I don't think God would give humans such a high sexual drive and allow us only to release it in a marital situation, as some people are meant to remain single, also mentioned in the Bible.
Hope this helps with your struggle.
Peace
