Dominionism, represents one of the most extreme forms of Fundamentalist Christianity thought. Its followers, called Dominionists, are attempting to peacefully convert the laws of United States so that they match those of the Hebrew Scriptures. They intend to achieve this by using the freedom of religion in the US to train a generation of children in private Christian religious schools. Later, their graduates will be charged with the responsibility of creating a new Bible-based political, religious and social order. One of the first tasks of this order will be to eliminate religious choice and freedom. Their eventual goal is to achieve the "Kingdom of God" in which much of the world is converted to Christianity. They feel that the power of God's word will bring about this conversion. No armed force or insurrection will be needed; in fact, they believe that there will be little opposition to their plan. People will willingly accept it. All that needs to be done is to properly explain it

I think you've been brain washed by whatever school you've been to.
Most Christians do not suppress other religions, but we do try to convert them just as they would us.
I guess you must know everything though, deciding for us what we have planned for the future.
It's people like you who are downing others religions and seem to want to change what others believe.
I see so much of this, "Christians want to rule the world" junk you are just pig headed people who can't stand the fact that there might be a price to pay when you die for all the sins committed.
whether we Christians are right about what's going to happen remains to be seen, (we have been so far) and if you choose not to believe what we do that's your own choice.
if you will remember, our original laws here in the USA have been twisted so much by people who don't agree with them these days, because they were based mostly on Godly morals.
and you want to know the truth? Maybe we will inherit the earth, but that's all up to God, if you don't like what he decides, or if I don't, that's just tough.
God bless you.

P.S. Kithy you are so right. But i just had to rant a lil.

I only find two types of people in the bible Jewish and Gentiles. So to a point your view on Christians is understandable. I myself don't know why people call themselves Christians. I don't recall being told to call ourselves a christian in the Bible...But don't forget, the Declaration of Independence and Constitution is based on believe of a Supreme Power or entity.
So as long as you declare yourself to be part of a Sovereign People you have nothing to worry about because the laws of the Constitution will protect you from any one thinking they are above you.
So if I were you I would be more concern on keeping the Constitution safe and away from anyone who wants to change it. Most of you don't know but the Mark of the Beast is already upon us. Remember, it's not a mark that will enslave you, it is the system you will create after you change the Constitution that will enslave you. The mark is just a device to track you. How silly! These people are a tiny, tiny minority and are a lot less likely to cause problems than the militant Muslims that are willing to blow up themselves and everyone else they can reach in the name of their religion.

Since majority rules in this country, if you don't want the fundamentalist Christians to be able to change the laws, get out and vote! The way they take over is through the non-voting majority not bothering to have a voice, allowing the minority to wield a power that is bigger than their numbers.

Yes, in their purposeful ignorance I think they are. Or I should say, there are most likely people at the top who understand the true intent of organized religion and don't even believe a whit of the Bible but know how to work a populace like carnies work marks at a carnival. The best (and most rabid) followers of any religious or social ideal are those indoctrinated from birth to adulthood. Look at what Hitler and crew did to blonde-haired, blue-eyed "Aryan" Germans up to and during WWII--educated them from the time they were born that they were superior because of their looks and their Germanic heritage alone. Those people who learned that crap from toddling age on up were some of his most rabid supporters, totally believing the hype because that was all they knew.

I'm sure there are groups like that in ALL religions... Just as there are certain people without religions who dwell on these things and claim everyone within a religion is doing this because one small group is.

Honestly, I'm surprised at the people who claim to be mature adults who seem to just stay on this type of topic all the time. It's more of a conspiracy theory than an actual circumstance... otherwise we wouldn't be posting our opinions about it on here.

Christians and Islam followers have been in a long-standing battle to control the world. The difference is Christianity has had the benefit of being followed by cultures who are progressive and develop technology to suit their needs which has led to bigger and better weaponry. Christianity by default allready rules the world and can easily crush any people who try to overthrow it.

You make Christians sound like Pinky and the Brain, trying to take over the world. A Christian's purpose is not to take over the world girl! We were created to spread the Gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ and do so to the glory of The Lord.

No. True Christians wouldn't do that. Jesus felt that God's government and man's government should remain separate. People wanted to make Jesus a king, but he refused to have any part of worldy government. Those fundamentalists currently trying to shape government are not following the teachings of Christ and are, therefore, not Christians.

Christians have always been trying to take over the world. Even with these "dominionists" it won't happen. There have always been extremists sects who have it out for the world and I'm not a teensy-bit afriad of these louses.

paranoya alert? yes the christians are trying to convert the world but so are alot of other religions, the point is that it will never happen. there will still be interreligious marriage and those children will not have a religion or will be free to choose their own. this will cancel out all of the christains attempts.
