Micro-evolution refers to changes within species and it happens all the time. We know it adds no new genetic information to the genes all it does is suppress some traits while making others dominant. Examples in humans will include genetic information for height, hair colour etc. Macro-evolution is the change from one genetical inferior order or family to a more genetical sophisticated one. Now my question is, what will be the next step in the evolution(macro-) of man?

Does it then mean that no human macro-evolution is eminent? And if eminent it is probably not global.

No clue. We could speculate until we are blue in the face I'm sure, but it's impossible to know what direction evolution will go in.

No one knows obviously. We can project modern forces forward and guess what might happen, but such projections rarely even pan out over fairly short time periods.

My guess is that (assuming we don't wipe ourselves out), the evolution of man will soon be overtaken by true Intelligent Design - our own. We are realtively close to the point of being able to directly manipulate our own genetic code, and are not far off from being able to integrate artificial intelligence aumentation into our brains.

We will probably hit the technology singularity long before evolution has a chance to transform us into a new species (assuming it would).

macro-evolution requires a split in the population

it will occur when and if man sends colonies to other planets where there can be no interbreeding with the earth population, then time will take its course

it will probably have to do with evolving to live in different gravities, atmospheres, or radiation exposure

I believe that the next step in macroevolution would be man evolving to have a higher immunity to disease with all the antibiotics out there getting int people.

The changes that will come physically will depend on changes that occur in nature.
