can anyone tell me a bit of software /programs that are easy to use that copy from file/dvd to cd

try nero but if going from dvd to cd there is a possibilty it won't fit dvds hold way more than cds

Nero is probably the best software out there for creating and copying cd's/dvds. However, it all depends on what you are trying to do. A DVD has a substantially larger data capacity then a standard CD. If by DVD you mean, a movie, then it wont be possible to copy that to a regular CD. And even if you wanted to copy a Video DVD to a DVD-R or RW disk, it may take more then one disk because commercial video DVD's still have a higher capacity then consumer ones.

You're only option would be to find software that can rip the movie data from the DVD and then compress it so it will fit on a standard cd. Do a yahoo search for Rip DVD or similar phrases. You'll find software that can grab the movie info and save it to your hard drive, and some can even do the compression/conversion for you so you wont need software like Nero or EZ CD Creator.

I like Roxio Easy CD Creator. Windows XP can write to CD's easily, too.
