if A and B are on the same line and you are on a path connecting the two it seems the answer is to ask "which way to village A"
but that's a lot of assumptions; if the forest is a circle and village A is at 3 o'clock and B is at 5 o'clock you're screwed

If he says yes, and he's the liar, then the people telling the truth would say go the other way. If hes telling the truth, then the liars would say go that way, but they are lying, so go the other way.
If he says no, and he's the liar, then the people telling the truth would say go your way. If he's telling the truth, then the liars would say go the other way, but they are lying, so go your way.

THIS IS AN OLD ONE.....I DOESN'T MATTER WHO YOU ASK . LET'S SAY THE PERSON IS FROM VILLAGE A . THIS IS THE QUESTION :
" IF I ASK THE PERSON FROM VILLAGE B WHICH ROAD LEADS TO VILLAGE B , WHICH ONE WOULD HE POINT TO ?" . WHICHEVER ONE HE SAYS , GO THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION .
