She will want your comfort and help if she loves and respects you.
Just don't handle the puppies for more than a few seconds. Let her get it all dry before you pick it up. Keep the room warm, hold in wrapped in a washcloth.

If you and momma are on a good repoire, you should be able to watch the birthing without problems. I would wait for a sign from her though as when to touch them. Sometimes they will help you clean their newborns. Been there plenty of times. It is so cool to see babies born!

You can watch you mama dog give birth..you just need to give her space and keep quiet. The babies are so new you should leave her to care for them for awhile and when they get alittle bigger you can hold them for a short period of time. Good luck!!

most momma dogs let their owners handle the puppies. if she doesn't she will most likely growl at you this is a warning .if you put your hand in with the puppies she may bite you. it won't hurt the puppies to handle them as long as you don't do it too much. it's good too hold them , it a way to start socializing them.

Since dogs are pack animals, your dog believes you to be part of her pack, or vice versa. Since you are family to her, and as long as you keep a respectful distance, she will allow you to be there. You will need to be respectful of her situation though...Most domestic dogs welcome their fellow pack-mates to their birthings. Give her space, and don't try to touch her a lot..You could get bitten...
