How can we possibly be held up to the first man and the first woman when we don't even know for sure if they were white or black or Asian or Middle Eastern or Indian or a race that has died out or that the story of Adam and Eve is completely metaphoric and never happened exactly as the Bible suggests but instead was just written as a model of creation?

And further more, given that we have people born hermaphrodite, blind, deaf, unable to walk from birth, with genetic abnormalities, with rare diseases that are either hereditary or are flukes, Siamese twins, and so many other possibilities, how can we use Adam and Eve to justify anything against anyone? Is not the model of Adam and Eve just aiming a little to high for anyone to live by when there is so many wonderful differences in the world that are differences that start at birth?

This question is based on the Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve thing.

Because some people are just plain idiotic. But then, I think the whole idea of Adam and Eve is a load of crap.Anyone who thinks two people populated the entire planet is about as dim as people who believe in unicorns and Santa Claus.

they werent made up as role models. The were the first man and woman that God created. And the Bible explains that because of their disobedience by listening to Satan we now suffer. They were never perceived as "perfect" because they failed to listen to God and chose the WRONG path. So I don't understand where you got your info, wether someone told you or you made that up, either way, your statement is wrong.

Read the Bible entirely(and comprehend everything) and you'll find out why there are so many imperfections on humans, animals, etc.

Exactly who is comparing you to Adam and Eve?

I'd much rather compare someone to my grandma, she was a model of moral ethics and love.

I don't know. And it's strange that anyone would do so since adam and eve are mythical fabrications. Nothing more.
