Yes, of course! A god parent is a person that will take care of ones child in case of death. You don't have to be married. It is up to the child's parents whether they want you or not....divorce has nothing to do with it.

yes. i was a godparent when i was 12. pretty sure that means anyone can be(lord it is hard to believe my god kids are 13 and 14 now(i am about to be 26. lord i am getting old)

Absolutely. God parents can be anyone who'd be good to the child and be chosen by the child's parents. I don't see any problem there.
