my naturally curly hair gets curlier and frizzier in high humidity but on drier days it seems to lose the curl. i got mine cut into choppy layers and i use suave professional sleek smoothing cream instead of moose or gel. for some reason it helps me manage my curls better than any other product and prevents puffiness. i can blow dry it and/or add different products for a totally different effect but it usually looks pretty good either way.
just remember, if you don't like a haircut it will grow out. oval faces can usually get away with just about any style. you might find that by taking a risk you'll really love what you've done but you'll never know until you try.

Well, I have curly hair too, and I have the same problem, when I get my hair curly i use Setting Lotion which is a blue water you can get in a beauty supply, and your hair cut in layers would look nice too, but you have to keep in mind that it would look a lot shorter if you get it curly, and also that you would have to be going to the beauty salon a lot to blow dry it... So, at the end you are the only one that really knows what's best for you...

Try using some of the smoothing cream and blow drying it yourself everyday if you want it straight everyday. Use sleek and smooth shampoo and conditioner by pantene pro v or sleek look by matrix (you can find this at the salon). They also have a sleek look serum to help straighten and tame fly aways. The shorter your hair is, the more curly it will be.

omgshh i used to have real long hair and i had to wet it and crimp it with gel and moose everyday, but i wanted to change cause my long hair was killing me i was just like you i was soo scared of getting it cutt. i though it was going to look bad on me, but i didnt it and it looks real good all my friends like it better than before...you might wanna get it a little longer than your shoulders unless you never wanna crimp it agian! cause i got short hair and i have an oval head kinda to, but i got tired of blow drying and crimped it and it looked bad...so if i were you i would get it a little longer than the shoulders so you can change your style everyday!
