i have dyed my hair so many times that i had to cut it to my shoulders because it was so dry and nasty. i use olive oil for my hair sometimes and it seems to make it softer. i was wondering if anyone else had any home conditioners that they've tried with good results?

I've known girls who swear by beer and egg whites.
Seems like a waste of good beer though.

Castor oil will stregnthen your hair. Use it in the same way you do the olive oil. Cover with a plastic bag and let it stay for 20 minutes. For extra conditioning take a warm shower while waiting. The heat will help the oil work to its maximum potential.

Also try the following:

Mix 1 tablespoon Honey and any type of vegetable oil. Distribute mixture evenly all over the hair.

• Coat dry hair with mayonnaise, once finished cover with a plastic shower cap and leave on for 10-20 minutes.

• Beat one egg, add 3 tablespoons of water and apply to scalp
and hair.

This applies to all recipes: Once you are done waiting for the natural ingredients to work their magic wash, rinse, and style hair as usual.

Best wishes.

Eggs and mayonnaise works great, although it's a bit smelly. Olive oil is still the best of home remedies, though.
