Oh, the medical field won't. Their goal is to develop medicine that costs you alot. Their goal is to live just long enough for your Life Insurance to expire, so they don't have to pay off.
But you can. Eat right and exercise. Read the South Beach Diet book and learn what is BAD and how to eat right.

Turn back the clock no, but extend the life span yes, perhaps by as much as 150 or 180 years, after all there are people that live to be a hundred years today, so in the next 10-20 years we will find something that will do this, as for people that think that we will find immortality it just wont happen sorry not realistic.

It's hard to say. There may be things that increase our quality of life, and maybe the effects that age has on our body, but I don't think that we'll ever be able to truly "be young again". Nothing we have ever done has ever increased the lifespan of a human being - we have a finite limit that we cannot cross (I think they say it's 150 years at the most) before our body simply gives out - there's not enough left to run on anymore.
The problem is that living is what causes us to age. If we could turn back the clock, so to speak, maybe we wouldn't have the same life that we know and love (although now it seems like I'm talking about the undead).

I am sure that humans will find a way to stop aging but we cannot say when and whether we will see it in our life time. I am commenting on this because this has been my subject of interest since I was in 2nd year Med School. Until something is invented or discovered no one can say for sure that it will be discovered but we can definitely make an educated prediction. My optimism is based on certain facts that I would like to mention:
Aging is a degenerative process that gradually deteriorates the functions of our body till the person or animal can no longer live and dies, this is known to everyone.
The life span of each animal is specific to each species for example average human life span is 75 to 80 years and it is 2 years for mice and 250 years for some tortoises.
This indicates that there may be a genetic program which is causing each animal to live for a specific period of time just like there is a genetic program for pregnancy in each animal which also has a more or less fixed time that we call as gestation period which is fixed for each species.
Mice are so similar to humans in their physiology and biochemistry that we can test nearly all our medicines on them but their life span is only 2 years whereas ours is 80 years, a difference of 40 times. They also live in pretty much a similar environment like ours. The only good explanation we can have for this difference in life span is that the genetic program of mice makes them age and die in 2 years.
We find both extremes if we observe life spans in living things from the short life span of 1 day in some insects to the longest life span in tortoises (250 years) and some crocodiles and even 4000 years for the Redwood trees in California. Infact the single cellular microorganims do not age at all and do not die except due to lack of food or hostile environments.
So it is not impossible to believe that something can be done to prevent aging. Look for the developments in Molecular Biology, we are going to see the new wonders of science in this field. We have recently mapped the human genome and are working to understand how genes work.
I believe that our understanding of gene expression will lead us to a cure for aging. It will certainly not be a fountain of youth but it might be series of procedures that will reprogram the genes so that we remain young and possibly not die due to aging.
I have given a long answer and have probably bored the readers but I was too tempted not to answer and in fact my explanation is much longer but obviously I cannot discuss the whole subject here.
A note to some other answers given here: please do not say with total certainty that nothing is possible in this without going deeper into the topic. Science has already provided the greatest wonders already which could have never been thought to have been possible.

No. But medical science will find ways to make us live longer and cure diseases. But finding the fountain of youth will only happen in the movies and books.

Until the govt allows us to start doing more on stem cell research, we will never go forward. We already have the technology to map out genetics, now we need to tell the govt to get the heck out of our way so we can find the cure for all diseases and yes, even the key to the aging process!
