If you don't OWE them anything then you don't have to file a return....but your employer MUST take the taxes out of your pay and that's YOUR MONEY so it would be rather silly to not file and get it back.....but as far as having your employer STOP taking taxes out of your paychecks....I wouldn't hold my breath until that happens my friend....They CAN NOT do that. They would be in some BIG BIG trouble with the IRS.....IF you make UNDER a certain dollar amount and DO NOT expect to OWE the IRS then I believe you can file for an EXEMPT filing status....but be VERY CAUTIOUS if and when you do that. I would strongly suggest that you have a tax professional's advice or lawyer's advice before making a move like that.

You have to change your withholding, you probably won't be able to get away with paying no taxes now and then them all in a lump sum, but you'll need to see an accountant or other tax professional for that.

Just ask your HR dept to make you exempt. All americans have the option of not paying taxes on a monthly basis.

Increase your tax exemptions through payroll, so that they take less out of your pay.

You might be able to change the W4 form at work but be careful because if you should have paid and didn't then your will have a penalty.
