I have a kitten that is about 6 months old. This is the first time I have owned a cat. He's neutered. He was 4 months when I got him. He was semi playful at first but now this cat never ever plays. He also has the weird stone face all the time like he's in a daze. He's still very cuddly but I was wondering if something could be wrong with him or is this just his personality. I have no experience with cats.

that's just about how all cats are. Do u ever think the reason he's not very active is because he doesn't have a friend.that's how my female cat Sasha was until we got a male cat. but if your going to get another cat get a female. because males don't get along real well.

It could be his personality, but take him to the vet to make sure...he could be sick and you need to figure out what is wrong before it could be too late. Personality changes are a big indicator of illness in cats, I have a lot of experience with them. PLease get him a check up!!

It could be his personality or his food or it could be a disease, atitude changes are a magor sign of illness in cats, get him to the vet and have him checked, also bring in a plug-in pheromone releaser and a catnip plant/spray also get him some catnip scented scratching posts or condos, and have the plugin pheromone releaser near the catnip plant/toys to get him to calm down.
Hope this helps you out

I have a kitten as well. His name is Tiger and he was a stray. When we brought him in, he was very playful and active.A few days ago, he was bloated and inactive. We could also feel his bones easily. If this is what your kitten is like, he has worms.Tiger is all better now after he and my other cat William was treated as well.(There is another stray around and he was treated, too). For more info...

He is just going into his teenage years and he is starting to feel independent. He will get bored very easily with store bought toys make him some toys out of old socks stuff them with paper or other stuff that makes noises they love that kind of stuff and hide it in places he usually visits and that will keep his attention on fun stuff. My cat changed too but I received some info from Purina.com go there and they will help you with any doubts you might have in your mind.

What are you feeding him? Cat need different proteins than other animals (They cannot eat dog food, for example). Maybe you should see a vet.
