Do to the lack of simularity of Chrimatics gifts today and the ones in the New Teastiment, No reports of these gifts over hundreds of years, are all evidnce copncernig this matter.

Ex: The apostoles made the lame to walk, the gift of healing,
Modern chrismatics heal your headaces, lack of understanding.

in a football game both teams pray to win so what would you do if you had the authority to give victory to either team and both were praying to win. you would give it to the teams to play their best, and the better of the two teams would be the winner not because of you but because of their own strength and determination. As far as the headache and back pain cures, they are true but you don't hear about the healing of the paralized being healed simply because people do not think that they can be healed God said " so you speak, so it is", so if you say it and believe it at the same time it will come to pass. Good luck and have a good day

Apparently you have been going to the wrong meetings, because I have seen paralyzed people walk. I have a son who was blind from birth in one eye and can now see. I have a daughter who tore a ligament in her knee and after prayer it was total restored. Maybe you need to look around a little more.

Oh,,,and the football/fighter question? (I love it when people ask the easy questions) Prayer is not a magic genie, a make a wish, or a get anything you want. God has given many promises in his Word. Prayer is the method by which we activate those promises. As there is no promise that He will help you win a football game or a prize fight, he is not obligated to answer those prayers. So I can't give you a scripture for praying to win a game because there isn't one. He will help you do your best - but even your best doesn't guarantee you win.

First, I'll tell you that there are legitimate healings and mircles have been documented by both Catholics and non-Catholics. These are special graces from God. If you want a real braintwister, look up a book called The Incorruptibles, by Joan Cruz. It is a study of the bodies of deceased saints whose bodies did not decompose after death. Don't take my word for it though, check out the book yourself and make your own decision. However, yes, there are gatherings/revivals that would be considered false, or a type of scam.

As to why only one team or one boxer wins after they both pray, I don't think I can answer that intelligently, but only offer my own opinion. I think your question touches on what is God's will. I will not try to say that I know His will on all things because I don't. No one does. The only thing I might be right on is that I believe that His ultimate goal for us is for us to get to heaven. I don't think that God cares is someone was a really great boxer, or the best football player in history, unless they used those talents for the greater glory of God, to help teach and witness to others. There is no boxing or football in heaven, as far as I know. What we are commanded to do is love one another as God loves us.

God bless,

Danny

Well, let me give you a bit of an education on prayer. It is not a slot machine, you don't put in your prayer and get what you want. As C.S. Lewis put it, "Prayer doesn't change God, it changes me." Unfortunately, those revival or healing meetings are run by charlatans and frauds only looking to fleece the flock. We trust that God is good and there is a reason for everything, whether we understand it or not. So whether someone is healed or not, it is according to His plan for us. Actually, when athletes pray, it is not for victory, it is for safety and strength for themselves and their teammates, and safety for their opponents.

A little story for you. I know a little boy that suffered from sever asthma he was prayed for and was totally healed. I know a woman that had an abnormal lump in her breast was prayed for and healed. Jesus wept. He wept for all who do not believe that this is possible. The Lord could care less about the baseball games, football games or wrestling matches only you do. Violence is not taught by Jesus, If a man slaps you on one cheek turn the other also. Read the Gospels.

I've been to those stupid "gatherings" and its easier to claim to heal a headache or backache than paralysis, because you can't prove it. Faith healers are the biggest con artists alive! The same goes for those televangelists who are constantly asking for more money. Guess they're afraid they won't be able to add that new tennis court to their mansion.

Anyway, its just wrong to pray to win a game, totally self-serving, kinda like praying to win the lottery.

Soak your feet in warm water or a healthy round of foreplay. Anything that will attract blood to another part of your body to relieve the pressure in the head. Aspirin works because it is an analgesic blood thinner. Drinking cold water works also because it draws the blood to your digestive tract, away from your head. When I was in the Navy, snorting pure oxygen always cured a hangover headache.

All the prayers of all the believers who have ever lived combined, will not regrow a single missing toe, and they all know it.

Yet a bunch of fools rolling on the floor babbling like idiots counts as miraculous nonetheless.
