I saw that movie "Daddy Daycare" and was wondering what the posibilities are i.e. the niche market. I have an old friend who did that and he is busy. It seems to work but just wanted to hear from you if you would consider it or what would put you off about it.

Absolutely NOT, there are far more men that have perversion minds than women. So what if its a male figure to have in these childrens lives ( parents are not together, and some children dont know who their father is). Thats a silly question, if you knew the priest were molesters, would you send your children to a catholic church day care ? No you would not! Daddy day care movie was just a MOVIE, nothing more. Yea you may find a daycare ran by men, but ask your self, are these men GAY? If so, do you want your children that have never seen or heard about gay people subject to this?

Yes I would!! We need more men in daycare. I work with 3 year olds at a day care. The people have to pass a background check so thats a plus. If you look out for yourself and make sure it is a wide open room heck you can even do the new thing and install cameras so that parents have internet access so that they can view from work. The kids will benefit big time have strong male role models in their lives. Go for it.
Dont forget most negative situations that happen in daycares involve the female teachers losing their cool and mishandling a child. Just as a large percentage of abuse is at the hands of the mom as she is home with them.
if you need any help with curriculum and activities contact me and I will help.

Yes I would. Nowadays many children are raised in single family households with no male rolemodels. And many daycares do extensive background checks, and not to mention do you notice that children tend to mind more for men. So again yes I would enroll my child in a daycare owned and operated by a man or men.

Everyone that keeps talking of men being child molestors. Are you not watching the news today. There are more female teachers having sex with the students than there are men.

I would.

The media is full of sordid stories about men, and the things that can happen to young children. This is sensationalism.

There are also PLENTY of women who molest children. Mary Kay Leturneau is only one, but several more have been arrested in subsequent years. Including one just this morning, in Wisconsin who has apparently had sexual contact with at least 6 students. These just fall away from the public eye very soon.

I believe that men are important role models in the lives of young children ... both boys and girls.

People shouldn't believe everything they see or read. The media is quite slanted ... both for ratings and political beliefs.

I probably would not. I am a teacher, and I work in a school that is ALL women--because men do not gravitate toward this kind of work. Also, statistically, men are way more prone to child molestation. I have worked at the same school for years, and never once has a man even applied for a job there. It just doesn't come to men, I don't think.

Yes, as long as they were a licensed daycare or had great references. I think men can be great with kids and especially good for children who do not have a male role model at home. My husband spends a lot of time with the children, but I still would send them to a male sitter. As a matter of fact we occasionally use males to keep them for a few hours while we go out.

First, I don't have kids of my own.

I think most people would say no, but I would bet that those same people would choose a day care without investigating its track record. The most important thing when choosing a day care is BACKGROUND CHECK, BACKGROUND CHECK, BACKGROUND CHECK...I many cases, a group of men may come out more attractive on paper than many women in the daycare business!!

A woman can be just as abusive as a man. It wouldn't matter who owned and operated the daycare as long as it was reputable and clean with excellent supervision. My daycare requirements would be outdoor exercise, learning activities and constant supersvision with a good reputation.

Well Sarge, I would not be opposed if after I checked the mens credentials and talked to other mothers & fathers about their experiences. I believe men are just as capable in taking care of children. They may even have more patience in some situations. I say go for it. Good luck nana.

I would not let my kid go to a daycare where men work, because men get hard ons and that would be sick.
Women are more nurturing anyways, thats why God gave the ability to birth and raise their kids without fathers.
Women only thankyou.
