Don't worry, it does not help. If your family is a fussy type and creates unpleasant situations just leave them alone and ride out those moments. Enjoy your vacation during the fun filled times. You should think of ways to have a pleasant vacation. Past bad experiences may be analysed and avoided.

the only thing that is going to work is making rules and bounderies people need to practice self restraint. who ever is the financial backer needs to make clear that arguing and gossip is strictly prohibited. if there is any of it then there does not need to be a trip in the first place. that is a lot of money to splurge for one week end. it would make more sense to to just get seperate motel rooms or something. try not to spend time together for the ppl who argue with each other. seperate in groups. keep the ppl wh get along together. other wise honestly what is the point?

try to bite ur tongue on a lot of things that bother u over the weekend. smile a lot and stay out of the house as much as you can. try to be in the house in only if u absolutely need too. my family can be the same way, i just try to do my own thing and not let other ppl ruin my time. good luck!
