Unless she really needs it or expressed an interest in it. If you do get the CHI irons. They're expensive, but they're some of the best. If your're going to go for a sort of blah gift, WOW her with the best of the blah at least. My friend's ex-boyfriend got her a CHI iron and she loved it. I guess I would too.

Only if she has expressed interest in a hair straightener, it's a pretty specific gift. If so, get a ceramic is the best type of straightener for hair, it doesn't damage as much as metal irons and you can find them everywhere.
THE MOST IMPORTANT thing to remember when giving a woman a gift is that it should not be a practical thing, that can always be taken the wrong way! It should be something that she will use but get enjoyment out of as well. I would probably go with something a little more fun unless your wife really said she wanted one.
Good luck, at least your putting lots of time and thought into this, you can't go wrong!

I actually wanted a hair straightener for my birthday and my mom got me one! She got me a really expensive one from Ulta because I have wanted one for a long time now. They are much better than the ones you buy at WalMart. If your wife has every mentioned wanting a hair straightener or if she wears her hair straight sometimes then it would be a wonderful gift! If she has curly hair that she loves or doesn't like to spend a lot of time on her appearance then she probably wouldn't like it. The hair straightener you picked out looks like a good one but if you do want to shop around you could try Ulta or a beauty shop somewhere that sells them. The CHI ones are really good. Good luck!

I would not mind one for a present but the problem is with straighteners you have to be fussy. Thin hair calls for a 1/2 inch blade, heavy thick curly hair you need a 2 1/2 blade.

Too hot of a blade will also burn your wife's hair, and that could mean a really miserable wife.

Treat your wife to an expensive saloon for a "hair and spa day" then buy one from them.

I think that if your wife is into doing her hair then yes. Before you purchase any items for her watch her routine in the morning. Don't hint towards the gifts that you want to buy, ask general questions about the things you're thinking of purchasing. Watch her reaction and then make a decision.

If you're on welfare, then yes, it's a great Birthday present. If you're not on welfare then it's a great "Just Because" present.

If I were you, I would go to a jewlery store and get a box that a ring comes in...Don't get the ring though!! Instead, put a Viagra pill in there. When she opens it say, "Baby, tonight, for your birthday, I'm giving you the Family Jewels!!"

If you want to spend the rest of the evening alone, go right ahead . . .

Do something romantic for the birthday and get the straightener as a gift just because you love her and are thinking about her.

Honey no woman wants a hair straightener for her birthday. Take her out and show her a good time.

If she wants a hair straightener then it would be a great gift. But of you don't want to spend alot of money, one by Conair or Revlon is just as good.

I would like it, but I am really into beauty products. If she talks about wanting a straightener or if she hates the one she has, then she will like it. She is probably dropping hints about what she wants, pay attention.

The oens that do not have metal plates are good for the hair-but does your wife want a hair straightener? She might get mad thinking that you don't like her hair.
