I would say NO!
If a child expresses feelings of discomfort or illness, it should be common sense to keep him/her indoors!
Start with keeping the child quiet, checking the symptoms often.
Obviously if the situation gets worse, call the doctor!
Sending a "sick" child out to play can possibly make the child worse OR spread whatever they have to other children.
I would be furious if my child came home sick b/c she was playing with another child who was sick (and the parent KNEW about it!) That's just irresponsible parenting, if you ask me!

It depends on how serious the tummy ache is. If it is severe, the child may not want to go out and play at all. If it's mild, as long as he/she can make it to the loo in time, it's alright. But, hey, do watch out for something other than tummy ache... like appendix, which could be dangerous.

no, i probably would have them try using the bathroom first then they could go out. children will hold bowl movements if it will get in the way of what they want to do. holding it can lead to constipation and then a tummy ache. a tummy ache can also be a signal an illness, flu or something is coming on. i'd wait until ache had gone before they got to play.

Kids should be kept home if they are feeling sick. How rude it is to send a sick child to school or out to play. Now all the other kids may get sick, too. Everyone has times when they are not sure if an illness is genuine, but a child would not passs up a fun time with friends to play hooky.

No, in fact I would send the child with the tummy ache home. Who knows what he had, most bugs like that are very contagious.

I would say no, definitely not. I can't stand it when parents send their kids to my house or School after throwing up the day before. As a matter a fact I just told a neighbor of mine that we have to be able to trust that our childrens friends parents will keep us up to date on whats been going on with their kids. If one gets something they all seem to get it, which might not happen if people kept their kids home when they didn't feel well.

I would let my child go out if he wanted to. It would mean to me that he wasn't really that sick. So what if the child had to come back to use the bathroom. Its really not a big deal at all.

It's not only bad for the friends, it is bad for the child.
No! A parent should have enough sense to keep the child inside and take care of him when he is sick.
Some parents are just selfish, care only about their own comfort.

If the belly ache was due to me asking him to do his chores, than no, but usually a kid won't go out and play if they are really sick.
If the belly ache was without doubt and real, then absolutely not
