I tend to agree. The popular culture has a philosophy (religion?) that all religions are basically good and they all worship the same god.
You start to wonder, are these Jihadist doing what they're doing because of the Koran, or in violation of the Koran? .. The media would have you believe it's the latter, -but then why do all the moderate Muslims keep their mouth shut and basically acquiesce to the violence. -It's because the Bin Laden is popular with the disenchanted common folk.
But it this a religious war, then it's either from bad religious doctrine, or abuse of (good) religious doctrine by bad men. Either way it appears that these Jihadists started it, - not the Christians. And as one Muslim expert explained back in 2001, - "negotiating with these (Muslim) people is futile, they won't be satisfied until the infidels are off the planet earth".

Muslims may be killing Christians, but Christians have been killing Muslims and Jews for centuries. Muslims have a long, long way to go before they achieve the level of death Christians have meted out throughout the centuries with their crusades and inquisitions. This isn't political correctness, it is the truth. Accept that all religions get turned around by humans who twist it to fit their own beliefs, rather than forming their beliefs on the teachings of any God (Jehohah, Allah, Jesus, Buddha, and nearly every other God in the history of religion has been one of peace). But humans in general have killed in God's name since the beginning of time.

Isn't that the elephant in the room. The truth will never spill the lips of any politician, not in public anyway. War has been declared on Christianity by the Muslims, but it wouldn't be politically correct to actually say it.

That's interesting, because I was just listening to NPR yesterday and they were doing a story on how many Islamic people believe that we are on a "crusade" to kill Muslims, and that our entering Afghanistan is not about getting Saddam, but religiously influenced. There are a lot of bad ideas out there. A lot of poor translations are confusing what I understand to be USA's intent (to make the world a safer place) and what much of the rest of the world believes our intent is (to kill Muslims, to gain power, to control the oil coming out of the middle east)...
Bad ideas about our intent are spreading like wildfire (and I'm neither saying that the USA is not responsible for some of these ideas nor our our intentions 100% pure)... I just wish I had a good idea about how to put them out.

What war are you referring to? The insurgency in Iraq? If so, most of the victims are Muslim, as are most of the perpatrators. Muslim v Muslim hardly sounds like a religious war. Sounds more like a civil war. No PC at work there...

the religious war has gone on for thousands of years and will go on until either the end of mankind or until people realize that religion is nothing more than willful ignorance wrapped in a pretty pink bow to make it look good.

I disagree with you on this one I'm afraid.Christians wouldn't murder other Christians like the Bush Nazis did when they brought down the Twin Towers with explosives. This is simply a quest for global domination for oil and profit by evil greedy persons who are definately not Christians.

It seems to be the Spiritual War. played out on the fields where flesh dwells. But this war is also internal ,where flesh can not fight against spirit.and soul does surrender to the Lordship of God.
