Read Leonardo da Vinci. Skies reduced to blue .....that would be the conclusion of a child's way of typically going about attempting what would result in a nothing of merit.
Sky is a wondrous blend of subtle colors....many translucent...to transparent to depict atmosphere...and very crucial to the life force of the painting.....illumination.........and properly done, will reveal a brillance of multicolored splendor.....serving to ignite precious points of light that bring passion to a sky..

I would paint the sky pink with colorful polka dots all over. Its fun, and happy, plust it would remind me of sprinkles and everyone loves sprinkles.

i would paint the sky green and, to switch it up, make all the grass and trees blue!

i like the sky just the way it is.. plain light blue gives a feeling of calm and quite. .. very relaxing
