I met my hubby on the internet, he turned out to be an axe wielding, murdering, psychopath...NAH only kidding, but I did meet him on the net and he turned out to be my soul mate, best friend, lover, everything i've ever looked for in a man rolled into one, just be careful there are some proper strange ones out there, but once in a while you can be surprised and pluck the prince out of the pile of frogs :o)

I met my current girlfriend on the internet and we then met up in person, we've been together since February and everything is going great, but equally I know friends who have met women on the internet who have turned out to be real nutters, proper bunny-boilers. It's just the same as any kind of dateing, you don't know what a person is really like until you get to know them.

Yes, I've met several people whom I first met online (playing Literati). They are just as nice in real life as they are online. In the Autumn I'm also hoping to meet a couple of people in the States whom I've known for 2 or 3 years.

talked to many guys on dating sites etc, met two in person, the 1st, we decided we were just better off as friends, we still keep in touch on line and have formed a very stong and trusting friendship. Number two, seemed a very nice caring bloke, met up with him and we hit it off straight away, but a few weeks down the line, he turned out not to be the person who I had grown very fond of. As someone else pointed out to you, be very careful a lot of the guys or girls even, may not be who they say they are, always be sure if you are going to meet up with someone, either have someone with you or do it in a very public place, not sure how old you are? I'm a a mature mother of 5, and still took these precautions, the 1st guy I met at my sisters house, with her there, and the 2nd I took one of my elder daughters and my youngest daughter with me, he had a daughter same age as my youngest, so we all went on a nite out to see the Blackpool Illuminations....At the end of the day it's your choice, good luck and be safe

I had to opportunity to met someone online and I was glad that it didn't work out online when I accidental met them at a bar several months later. I think perhaps they had a mental problem on a serious level.

I've been chatting to one guy for almost a year. We started talking, then we realized that we have a lot in common and we continued..After many months of chatting, we decided that we wish to meet each other in person. Now, I'm waiting for his visit (the agreement was that he will visit me first). I think he's the special kind of person and I'm really looking forward to meeting him in person..

Meh, this is a bad question. Don't meet up unless you brought someone with you.
