There is a small roadside shack in Damariscotta, Maine that serves the best lobster roll for the best price. Sorry, I forgot the name, but you can't miss it in the summer, since there are tons of cars by that shack. Be prepared to wait in line, but it is worth it.
The lobster is fresh and slightly chewy, the mayo is just enough to hold things together and does not overpower the lobster, and enough celery and spices to give it taste and texture.
Ask any Maine native and most likely, they know of this place in Damariscotta. Hope this helps!

You can find decent ones in many areas of the East Coast but the best ones are definitely in Maine.
