You definitely get a better education from Private or Charter Schools.

Public Schools just pass you on through no matter what!!!

Either can be good. It all depends on the teachers and the school itself. A small newer private school, may not have alot of facilites and/or programs for enhanced education. Really the only benefit then, is the smaller classes. Private schools do not get funding from the government or state/provincial governments so they they rely on tuition fees to pay for the school's expense's everything from the text books to the playground equipment and energy bills.

I went to a large private school from Grade 4 to 8. It was expensive though, (tuition was $15,000 a year plus uniform fees). But I think I really did benefit from it. The class sizes were smaller, the teachers where so nice, my fellow students where also nice aswell. There was nearly no bullying in the school ... smaller classes makes for a "family" type enviorment. Students learn to respect the people around them for who they are. Because it was a large private school it had alot of equipment and supplies. The upper high school had access to a swimming pool and tennis courts for P.E. We had a science room with all the latest features, we had a Tech room with state of the art computers. There is also a laptop program for the middle school and upper schools and we had amazing field trips to Washington DC, Ottawa and the upper school go to go to London or Rome at the end of the year. So if you or your parents can afford it, it's best to go to a large more establised private school.

With public schools, they get funded from the government. Some schools get alot of funding some don't. But the government makes sure the schools have enough of everything for a standard education. Im now in a public high school and I love it. But this public high school isn't like some of the others, it's one of the best public high schools in the state, so there really was no point in my parents paying all that money for me to countiue onto the upper school at the my previous school (the private one)

Personally I think you should go with the school that offers the best education. You have friends at both schools, so why worry about making friends? You also have to consider the price ... are you paying or your parents? In the end it's up to your parents if they are the one's paying.

Hope I helped, and by the way ... thanks for replying to my question about checking out of hotels by replying "I don't know".
:-)
