Um, as for honey, you should use about 1 to one and half teaspoons for every teaspoon of sugar you put in. So if you use 3 teaspoons sugar (like me) you should use between 2 and 4 teaspoons honey. Hopefully this info is useful!
Also, you can use brown sugar, or pure maple syrup which tastes like melted brown sugar, although this is more of a special buy, not the regular Mrs. Butterworths syrup.

Depends on the syrup but I wouldn't try it since the syrup has an over powering flavor. Unless you use Corn Syrup (which alot of sweetners are made out of).
Try honey.

Sure why not? If a syrup can taste like sugar go ahead. I personally feel that adding sugar in anything is dangerous , it will lead in long run to diabetes. Just drink tea plain without sugar or milk thus you will reduce weight as well.

what ever you put in it will taste of the stuff you put in. I'd just go get some sugar.
All this HONEY advice sounds puke in tea!
Just get some sugar it cost next to nothing and you get a decent drink.

white corn syrup will work just fine thats what soda companys use instead of sugar. Maple syrup on the other hand will probably not taste so good. And don't even get me started on boisenberry syrup in tea.
