Personally I don't like to donate to charaties because in weighing the pro's and con's between half of my money donated, going into some executive's director's pocket and the homeless guy I give $5 bucks to spending it on booze or cigaretts... A little pleasure is better than a lot of charitable fraud (and there is a lot of it too) I give money to homeless people and I believe in tipping very well at clubs and restaurants too, not that it could be considered charity, but they are not the highest paid consumers in the world and every little bit helps in keeping up with the divide between the classes!
So that's what I like to do with my money. The one charity I do believe in however is Saving Panda's in China. I donate in my kids names because they love them so much.
And thanks for the info on the milatary charity below BunnyJoy...I'll have to go to that site and check it out. If I could find a charity where the executives don't make 6 figure incomes, then I would and will donate. If they can prove it... I will send it. I used to give things at Wallmart when the war first started they had a booth set up where you would buy things and they would send it to camps for the soldiers. I guess it all made it there? I hoped it did anyway. EVERYONE... TROOPS NEED BABY WIPES and toilet paper! seriously!

Church, Different people in need, World Vision. I sorta just donate when I see a need and when I can "afford" it. Even though technically should do it more as I think that most people should as well.

Humane Society. Animals are defenseless. They don't have the ability to think like people. They can't take care of themselves in a human run world. People who hurt animals or abandon them should be shot.

There are so many of them that I can't donate to them all so I don't want to disappoint any of them or have one that thinks that they are the best because I made a donation to them. So I don't donate to anyone that way all is happy.
