When using the bathroom at someone elses home, should you aim for the water (makes more noise, but less mess) or for the porceline (makes less noise, but more mess)?

HA HA HA! This is funny. Been there! Go for the porcelin if it's someone your trying to impress and then wipe up your mess, then flush....and then WASH YOUR HANDS! How come Miss Manners never answers questions like this!

I think a person shouldn't worry about the noise unless you have sophisticated visitors in your house, who might think such noisy urination is uncouth. In this case, if you are particularly well skilled, you could aim for the porcelain, but a better option may be to emasculate yourself and sit down to pee.

This may sound stupid but i turn on the water when I urinate and aim carefully any pee spots get cleaned up with TP. This works well especially at a womans house. Earn pts. by not being a messy pee body.

you should make it in the water. it may be noisier, but atleast youre less likely to miss the side of the bowl and spill out on the floor. plus, its not like people don't know why you went into the toilet in the first place. so your noise levels shouldnt be a consern. unless you feel exceptionally gassy. :)

since i'm the one stuck cleaning the toilet, i would much prefer men to make more noise and less mess. we all know what you're doing when you're using it so it doesn't matter if you make noise or not. all our guests are comfortable enough in our home to not be concerned if we hear them.

just aim for the porcelin and wipe mess wity toilet paper works everytime...I know My husband had that issue...
