I always have dog turds in my yard but never on the street or my driveway. Why do they only crap on grass?

Because if they go on the driveway or street, it's much more visible and you are much less likely to step in it!! ;)

No, the real reason is a combination of the fact that they just like the feel of grass better and that most people train their dogs to go on grass. Given a choice, they will usually choose the grass, as long as they haven't been trained otherwise.

this is because the owners start out having their dog relieve itself on the grass so the dog does nothing else out of habit. the same thing is with dogs that are potty trained to go on the side walk or street etc...they won't go in the grass. however in my dog experiences i have walked many dogs that will poop either way, however you are just unlucky(?) to have all the dogs that pass by your house like the grass better than the street. to solve this problem you can place signs on your yard like "pick up the poop" etc... set up video surveillance so that you can see who's dog is doing it and then collect all of the poop and place it in their yard....just kidding that would be mean...funny, but mean...i hope i answered your question in all this rambling...good luck with your stinky dilema! :-)

they do poop on the street, but they prefer grass or dirt so they can kick some on top of the poop (a natural behavior), similar to cats burying theirs.

They like to go in grass because it has more sents than pavement

It is in their instinct. Dogs have been around alot longer than pavment, even though pavement has been around for a long time.
