I've seen many of my friends having them and I witnessed one getting one, but I really don't know what the point is of getting a hicky. Any enlightments?

Some guys put hickey's on girl's to mark them so other guys will be like "oh, she sleeps around". Some girls want them because they think it's cute and kinda sexy to show off a hickey and tell stories about how a guy did her last night. But this girl thinks they are for young, immature children. No one over the age of 20 should ever have a hickey on them. That's private stuff...no one wants to see the evidence of what you did last night.

to show off that your a whore pretty much lol.....the only thing they ever got anyone i know was into trouble...they are hard to conceal and people might form a bad opinion of u if u have them...thsi one girl i worked with always had them like all over..thats trashy you can have one every now and then in a hard to see location but when they are purposely all over ur neck and boobs and everywhere its kind of gross...i think they are to prove that ur sexually active and well sort of slutty

I know when I used to get them it showed that they person was taken. I don't know if it has the same meaning anymore. Now I think boy that was stupid. Most of the time they look discusting. It's more fun if you hide them if you get my drift.
