First your have to state your age and if you have a condition or illness.
Second you have to find out the origin of the diarrhea.
A. Diet
For people who suffer from digestive discomfort, most natural health practitioners generally recommend a change in diet that excludes certain foods (know to cause discomfort due to food intolerance), yeast and sugar.
This is the first step to improvement. Click here for our FREE Digestive Health Meal Plan - use it as a starting guideline.
B.The role of the digestive system is to digest and absorb nutrients in food. Enzymes must first break down the consumed food into it's component molecules before it can be absorbed in the small intestine.
HOWEVER, if food is not digested properly it passes into the large bowel where it is fermented, causing wind, bloating, increased flatulence and diarrhea.
C. Bowel Flora
There are around 2 kilograms (4.4 lbs) of bacteria that inhabit our gut, usually in a balance of 'good / friendly bacteria' and 'bad bowel bacteria'.
The friendly bacteria are known as probiotics and there are 2 main families - Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria (each family is composed of different strains such as Lactobacillus acidophilus).
The bowel bacteria BALANCE is easily upset such as following the use of Antibiotics, a poor diet, during times of stress, travel, following an illness etc.
Once this happens, bad bacteria along with resident parasites, yeasts and moulds (such as Candida Albicans) flourish and take over the gut environment.
An overgrowth of these pathogenic organisms can lead to a host of health complaints and an uncomfortable digestive system.
Make sure you drink plenty of liquids. Gatorade even Pedialyte will re-stablish your electrolites balance.
Don't just stop the diarrhea. Find the reason and cure it.

Have you tried pepto bismol or immodium? Probably best to see a Dr. to see if there's any serious underlying cause. Eat lots of banana's or any food with good potassium source, diarrhea will deplete you of potassium and water so drink lots of water too. Gatorade is a great idea !

if over the counter medications are not helping then you probably have a bacterial infection from undercooked meat(like beef, pork or chicken).if that's the problem you need to see a doctor for anti-biotics to clear it up.Do not let yourself get dehydrated!
