There is a good chance that it will continue as long as there are radical islamo-facists.
More are created every day. It isn't so hard to do as long as children are indoctrinated into hate from their first day of school.
In the Middle East, we are facing an enemy much different than any we have ever faced before. It is their religious conviction above all else that keeps them blowing themselves up on buses full of children, car bombing polling booths and lines of applicants for law enforcement and military jobs. They would rather die than lose; at least this is true for the soldiers. The leaders of the Jihad are selfishly taking advantage of the loyalty of their troops, and are cowards. They show no such dedication.
Maybe someday the population of poor, desperate, hungry, people the leaders of Islamo-facism depend on as cannon fodder will tire of this struggle. Perhaps, even if the leaders don't tire, the people they depend on will no longer support them. Maybe a real leader will eventually come around that will understand how futile it is. This will only happen if they know we won't be detered.
As long as they have hope that we will lose heart before them, they will not quit.
As long as we don't lose heart and quit, we will not lose, regardless of if we ever win.
In either case, we should keep it up as long as it takes.
If someone is trying to kill you and your family with their bare hands, do you refuse to fight back if you don't think you can win? Do you stop fighting because you think you are losing? Do you offer them your throat when you get tired? No. Some might, but then they would surely die, along with their family. You fight to win, not to survive, and you keep fighting until you are dead, because death is only certain when you quit. And if you can't win with your bare hands, you find something to put in them to give you an advantage.
If we lose this war against terror, it will only be because we stopped fighting it. We should give the use of nuclear weapons more consideration than leaving it for someone else to fight. Even if someone comes along to take up the fight for us, we may not be around to enjoy the fruits of their labor.
Complicating things is the fact that we need their oil, and they need our money. If we could wean ourselves from foreign oil, they could never wean themselves from our money. It would cripple them. But that isn't likely to happen until they run out of oil and we are forced to tap into our own reserves, despite the continuing protests of the environmentalist, liberal wackos.

of course there will come day that the war will stop , but in the next few years it seem impossible because as you know Iraqi people and the arab as general in the middle east dos'nt till now had the awareness of peace , democrasy, and in fact it not cultured in every things , also most if not all the countery in middle east ( except Israel) are run by dictatores and their family so it need time to finsh tyhe tyrany of these dictators and then learn the people and adobet them GRADUALY about democrasy , because peaple live for thousend of years under tyrrany and bad regime it will be unhealthy to change the riegme between day and another ... so as generaly it need two genration until that happen which is about 60 years ?!!!!!

I do not think that the war in Iraq will end anytime soon. Look how long it took the U.S. to become independent from Britain. It wasn't a quick process for us. Now throw in groups that don't want to be free and you have a situation that will take a long time to fix.

Extremist Muslims have been killing one another for century's. Until the normal Muslim community starts to stand up and state there is a problem the problem will only grow.
We cant just leave... whats going to stop them from coming after us again. There is a history the towers were attacked more than once and good ole Clinton let them get away with it once. Guess what they didn't stop attacking us because we left them alone. To solve the problem we need to allow our boys and girls over there serving to do there job. Kill them before they kill you.

Nope. It brings companies money and we live in a capitalist society. As long as there's a supply of volunteer soldiers that don't mind being paid 25% of what the contractors are being paid, the companies will always have enough protection to make money in the dangerous parts of the world.

Yes all wars sooner or later come to a end. Look at the Hundred yrs war .When enough people are killed on one or both sides become unable to continue or unwilling to bear the cost any longer. So yes it wil end sooner or later its as unavoidable as the sunrise

Absolutely, because once the government of Iraq can protect itself, we can leave. Will the battles of muslims against muslims, muslims against Jews ever stop? Only if one group destroys the other completely.

Yeah when it's over and the job is done.
We are already there so it doesn't matter if you all like it or not. What do you propose that we do...cut and run? Leave the Iraqi people back to Saddam and his torture chambers? No, it doesn't matter now why we are there it matters that we are there and we need to finish what we started. So suck it up Liberals and shut up.

Well the Skull and Bones boys seem to want global domination for oil and profit so I am thinking it will not end till they conquer everyone or they destroy the entire planet whichever comes first.
