Try the Jess and Jims Steakhouse in Martin City.Also Nickols Lunch at 39th and Penn.

Besides Tiffany being a little girl from The "Can't Understand Normal Thinking" camp... there are lots of fine restaurants in KC. There is not a lot of Wonderul restaurants outside of hi-End chains, i.e. Capital. Ruth's, Morton's. Most of the good local flavor can be found at JJ's, , American, 40 Sardine's, Lidia's , Le Fou Frog, Garozzos, Plaza III, Aixois, Tatsu's. This is the Basic list, Many more exist.

The Best Thai Food you will ever have outside of Thailand is in KC. The restraunts name is Thai Place and there are multiple locations. All have different cooks so I would recommend the two in Overland Park. The one in Westport is not as good as the others.

There's a great place called Mimi's Cafe. It's on 95th street. The food is excellent and reasonably priced.

I just ate at Lidia's (authentic Italian) down by Union Station. VERY GOOD! Go to lidiasitaly.com to preview the menu and prices, etc.

Skies! I love it. It is a very VERY nice restaurant and you should dress appropriatly. But, where else can you eat in a revolving restaurant?
