I'm searching for a place on earth where life is simpler and more affordable. Has anyone come across a place while traveling that really provoked a feeling of " if I could I'd live here"?

I cannot believe, those other two people suggested, to you Mexico, or the other one,....Honey, you do not want to live in Mexico!! Why do you think, their are so many hispanics,, jumping the border!!! Because, they are so "OverPopulated" their living like "Rats"!!! One on top of the other!! Not too mention it being such a "Poor Country", that everyone has to work, and there's not enough work, so they "Hustle" the American's or other tourists, so bad, you feel, like buying whatever they have just to get them, to stop begging you!! I've visited there, one time too many, trust me, its not a pretty site.. The reason the guy suggested it to you, is because the American dollar is worth more over there, than here.. If you had income, from America, you lived in Like maybe, La Paz, away from the "Rat" areas, of over population, that might be different. But, you could never trust their police, their mail, or their people, to not steal from you!! I know because,, my dad use to live there, and they would steal his American mail, and any money, my brother would send him. So, whats the point, if you always have to look over your shoulder, and you cant even trust the cops to protect you, from thieves, when their thieves, themselves??!!! Come on, there's much better places, that are inexpensive, than Mexico!! Try, like Australia, I heard, its reasonable to live there, and the women can lay-out on the beaches, with no tops, on legally. I myself wouldn't do it, but, then again, I'm very "Modest", and sometimes shy... Keep shopping, and look at the bad points, too. Then, really analyze everything about the country, before, you take that leap!! And, just be very careful, in your desicion-making.. Other countries, know how to take advantage of alian's..No matter where you go!! I'd take along someone who definately knew the country, like the back of their hand, so they could teach you how to live there, peacefully without, frustrtation, or culture shock, being involved, with your new life.. Good-Luck, to you!!

I lived in Duluth, MN and it changed into eye-catching. also lived in Denver, CO. i love places with 4 seasons and eye-catching surroundings. those 2 places are not over populated and performance a short adequate distance to mountains and eye-catching scenic drives. I merely drove by using Nashville on my bypass countrycontinual very last month and that i really see what you talked about there. i wish to visit there lower back quickly.

There are many American moving to Mexico, in the Baja area because its cheaper than the US. Some towns are just a few hundred miles south of San Diego and have the same services.
