Atheists, as I said before, what if the doctors said that you or someone you loved had a horrible disease and you only had a few days left to live---what would you do? Would you seriously just sit back and think "Gee, I guess there's nothing to do about it"? You seriously would not be praying to God, the One who created you, to heal you? What a sad way to live thinking there is no hope and nobody to help you in your problems.

I think those who disagree with me are actually sitting there being proven wrong.

thebigm57: God did not make this world to be filled with sin, He gave humans the choice to sin or not and unfortunately Adam & Eve ate from the tree when He told them not to. That is why there is sin, disease, anger, etc.--because humans started it, not the loving God who created you, my friend.

Praying does nothing. If a loved one had only a few days left to live, I would try and find a better medical treatment, and spend the rest of the time with the loved one.
If you believe in God, why would you be so afraid to let your loved one join him in heaven?
Why do you pray anyway? Does God only care about people when someone prays for them? How come only some prayers are answered?

I would spend the last few days HOPING that the situation would change (there's always a chance) and see if there was another treatment.
Other than that - I'd spend the time with my loved one. Share laughs and tears.
It really pisses me of when self-righteous ignorant wanna-be intelectuals like you claim things of which they absolutely have no clue of.
No hope ? Why can't you have hope without religion ? On the other hand, you hope you're right and I know you're wrong.

Have you ever heard of the concept positive energy? I'd radiate positive energy in sympathy toward that loved one and hope that he/she will recover. Why is it that God even has to enter into the picture? With all due respect good Christian that you are...let me ask you these questions: If God is so loving and compassionate than why is there any suffering on the part of humanity let alone the loved one you mention? If we were made in his/her image aren't we perfect and not supposed to suffer from disease?

PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU...
Read the link in my sources. Atheists wouldn't sit and let themselves die, praying to an imaginary friend. We would be proactive, and do our best to find a cure. You really don't understand that, do you?
Anyway, please read the link below. This is a well documented study, done by CHRISTIANS, that showed that not only is prayer useless, but was actually shown to be detrimental to recovery...
Seriously, I'm laughing right now. I can't believe people like you are still around. (Yeah, that was mean, but really, you need to wake up)

My point exactly...why would anyone even want to believe that there is no God, especially in times like that. It is a sad way to live with no faith in anything or anyone. It's almost ignorant to just sit back and live with no hope in anything whatsoever.

You truly are an idiot.
We would be looking for better doctors, and better medicines. We would be looking for REAL solutions, not praying.
PRAYING IS GIVING UP. You have givin up trying, and turned your problems over to an imaginary father figure.
I will take medicin over prayer any day of the week.

Some people believe that false hope is more cruel than harsh truth.
